The question I keep asking myself, is who gets 13th place in the Big Ten? Probably safe to assume Nebraska has 14th place locked up. Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois have the highest ceilings, so let's eliminate them. I also don't expect to see Michigan, Ohio State, or Rutgers near the bottom.
That leaves us with...
Northwestern (3-0 start in the Big Ten with wins over Indiana, Michigan State, and Ohio State)
Minnesota (wins over Saint Louis, Michigan State, and Iowa)
Indiana (wins over Providence, Stanford, and Butler)
Michigan State (wins over Duke and Notre Dame)
Maryland (win over Wisconsin & let's not forget UMD won the Big Ten last year)
Penn State (wins over VCU and Virginia Tech)
Purdue (wins over Ohio State and Maryland)
It's not even January, and 13 of the Big Ten schools already have at least 1 top 50 win. Whoever finishes in 13th will be the greatest 13th place team of all-time.
