Have to go 3-1, but really should go 4-0. Toughest test is probably the first one, I think VT is too small to be able to beat usFSU 4 game road trip. Should tell a lot.

I get what you're saying. Guys step up when Zion is out, perhaps better ball movement, too. My point, was that Zion missing the entire second half is a much bigger footnote than a missed rebound opportunity, which was even contested by Jack White.
Duke was 3-3 in the absence of Zion, so hard for me to believe we improved our odds with him out of the lineup. He's noted for his offensive efficiency. But, was also really good at jumping passing lanes and protecting the paint. He was 2nd in the ACC in defensive win shares, despite missing 6 ACC games. And he was #1 in the nation in Box Minus/Plus, and by a large margin, too. Losing Zion for an extended period of time is a massive deal.
Yeah, it is super unique. We have been blessed to have enough continuity over the last 4 years where it has worked. We actually may be in for a bit of trouble this year if somehow Balsa and Gray work themselves into the 1st round. I felt like they were going to be anchors for us next year to go along with Polite and Osborne so that we could bring in the highly touted players and have less growing pains. I'm still not sure they will do that, but if we make a deep run and they are a big part of it, their stock could grow substantially. MJ as our alpha this year has been really pleasant to see, his teammates have always respected him, but to see his performance on a game by game basis, I'm just happy for a guy that came here with a ton of accolades but won't leave with the individual honors he may have been able to achieve elsewhere. I would be really sad if he didn't make at minimum 2nd team All-ACC this year. I think he has shown enough to merit first team but we don't always get the benefit of the voting being so far south away from the bulk of the voters.
Of course I would want Balsa and Gray to return. And I’d be surprised if we didn’t get at least one back.
But let’s say we lost both. We would still have Polite, Osborne, Evans, Calhoun, Wilkes, Ngom, and Ballard back. That’s a lot of continuity within the system.
Mills will figure large next year.
Tough game, blew so many chances inside in the first half where we could have pushed the lead out. Alvarado just had it going, not a bad loss, but need to be ready for Pitt to give us all we can handle after BCThis years team hasn’t learned how to grind when they’re not having their best game. Last year’s team was awesome at this.

Sorry fellas I bet FSU and hard. That’s a kids of death. Hell it got UK to 5-10 and one of those five I made the mistake of betting LSU bc well uk sucks this year. But after the result I was right back on UK ML against bama.
Sorry for the jinx but I bet on uva as well so your welcome for that much.
At least we don’t get GT off a loss Monday like I assumed would be the case.
You said Alvarado played well. What else can ya tell me about how the game went. Did Moses Wright have a big game? I remember he balled out against Uk and we are so thin down low.
I’m hoping DJ can contain Alvarado without fouling but I’m not sure Withers can check Wright without some help.
Offensively I don’t have a clue what we do besides the same old thing we always do, give carlik a pick and everyone else stand around and watch. I know Mack’s never been mistaken for some offensive genius but geeze at this point you’d think we would run something besides the same motion offense every possession until the shot clock get low if we don’t get an easy look, then it’s carlik PnR every time guaranteed. I get that having no post scorer handcuffs the possibilities, but you’d think there was something diff we could make work. Hell I bet we had 5-6 shot clock violations vs Clemson.
Given our losses to Clemson and Miami, and how those two look against any one else they play and I’m not so sure we aren’t about to see the wheels fall off. We needed that bc game yesterday for confidence, but at this point whose to say we even win that. Definitely not looking forward to playing GT esp if they are playing well enough to beat y’all smdh.
Moses had a huge second half. Honestly, both teams were pretty sloppy in the first half. FSU led 20-14 with about 10 min to go in 1st, but then someone came down from the stands and put a lid on our basket. We were having layups rim out.
Tech closed on an 11-1 run (which is unusual for FSU to not close a half well) and took a 33-25 lead into break.
FSU came out and immediately got Alvarado his third foul and I kind of thought, okay here we go, time to take control. But instead Alvarado just starts raining in step back threes. He was simply fantastic.
It was 40-35 but Noles just could never get back into within a bucket. Every time FSU hit a shot, Alvarado would either hit a shot or feed Moses for an ally oop. Then FSU (who is stilling missing Polite) started to force things and it just resulted in more fouls and turnovers.
MJ Walker fouled out with 7 min to play. 8 points, 4 turnovers, two where he just sort of lost it out of bounds with no real pressure.
I believe I saw a tweet where Alvarado and Wright were the first teammates to both have 20 points and 5 steals in the same game in like 25 years.
You dirty SOB. Keep your voodoo to yourself!
GT just really needed a marquee win badly and they played like it. FSU, on the other hand, went through the motions. Playing great ball for a month straight is hard. A clunker was bound to happen.
FSU on another Covid pause. Next three games postponed. Second time our game at Pitt has been postponed.
This could have an impact on the standings...
Live and die by the three. Also, Clemson is the ultimate enigma in college basketball. They beat some really, really good teams. And then they go and get shellacked by others.

So weird, I completely misread your prior post. The inconsistencies mostly stem from the difference end, from what I can tell.

Say what you want about the guy, but this would be good for ACC basketball
They should have never let go of Al Skinner. In his final 10 seasons with BC, they made the tournament 7 times. Since firing him in 2010, BC has yet to make the tournament. Not good.
Edit: I see some people are speculating Rick Pitino to Boston College. Why not? He could make them a top 50 team by year 3.

Wow, didn't even realize FSU landed Houston transfer, Caleb Mills. Noles could be nasty next season.
Yep, pretty jacked about getting him. He was the pre-season pick for POY in their conference. Will help in losing MJ and Barnes next year.
Yeah, he's a fun player to watch. I've followed him relatively closely as he graduated from the same high school as me - and I ran track with a few of his cousins.
I like his game. He can create his own shots. We could always use some more of that.
National treasure he isInteresting comment from Bill Walton during last night's UCLA-Arizona game lol.
I was most impressed with Florida State. I was looking at Tony Bennett's squad and I said, "Wait a second, they're ranked higher than Florida State?" Florida State looked like they invented the sport; they all had these guys that looked and played like Scottie Pippen and Dr.J. And at the end of the day, they had the bulldozer (Raiquan Gray). ~ Bill Walton.
