Who Will Win the 2025 National Championship?

Who will win the 2024-25 National Championship?

that's bullshit, it was much easier competition wise.
To be fair, it's not like the teams that won back then would compete with the teams today. You're setting it up for future generations to look at our current teams like you do the past.

It was an even playing field, probably more so than today. Maybe harder due to you had to win something to have a chance. today we have 68? teams this year in the NCAAT?

I never understood that angle. Why didn't every Champion NIT or NCAA go undefeated?

BTW, if we ever meet, I'm going to kick the shit out of you and put it in a bowl.

Keep it coming. I'm about the only poster here that you guys can claim school superiority over. Meanwhile you two are sitting here arguing over who is better between two programs that basically rank the exact same on the national level historically, mediocre.
You are creeping up on dumb shit status WAD. I have never posted about Bama basketball superiority.

Not really, the big 12 , SEC and ACC have been better.
That's what is wild tho. I pulled this off Reddit, which shows that the B1G has been pretty solid at getting deep but just hasn't gotten over the hump.

It’s well documented that no Big Ten team has won the National Title since the 2000 Michigan St team (I see or hear this brought up at least 5 times every tournament). The crazy thing though is the Big Ten has actually had plenty of chances to break this string and will have another chance Monday. Unfortunately for Purdue they fall into the same category as almost every other Big Ten team that has tried over this span. Let’s look at some stats since 2000 (including this years Purdue team):

  • 8 B1G teams have made the Championship game (that’s around 1 every 3 yrs)
  • 7 different schools have sent teams to the title game (Indiana (‘02), Illinois (‘05), Ohio St (‘07), Michigan St (‘09), Michigan (‘13, ‘18), Wisconsin (‘15), Purdue (‘24)). When this streak began the conference only had 11 teams which means 64% of them have made a title game in the last 25 yrs.
  • In every game the B1G team has faced a 1 seed (in 3 games the B1G team was also a 1 seed)
  • The B1G team has only been the favorite once (Wisconsin by 1 pt)
  • In the 7 completed games the B1G team has lost by an avg of 10 ppg with the closest margin being 5 pts (Illinois and Wisconsin)
  • B1G teams are 0-7 against the spread in this span

I figure the Big Ten is due

Not sure I see any obvious contenders from the Big Ten. Though, I will say there are a TON of really good teams. I've skimmed over the rosters a few times and I don't see any team in the league where I think, "they have no chance of making the tournament."

I like how Bart Torvik doesn't have a single Big Ten team in the top 15 - but there are 15 schools ranked between 16-50. And All 18 schools are in the top 75. The margin between 5th and 15th in this league is going to be crazy thin.

Torvik's 2025 Projections
16. Purdue
17. Michigan State
18. Rutgers
20. Illinois
29. Indiana
30. UCLA
33. Michigan
34. Ohio State
41. Wisconsin
42. Maryland
44. Oregon
45. Iowa
47. Nebraska
48. Northwestern
50. USC
71. Minnesota
73. Washington
74. Penn State

OP. You left out a team in your poll. You will
see this when we visit durham this season and you realize that Auburn's hebrew dick is bigger than your current jewish coach's hebrew dick is
