I think I’d like to see one on Cal’s first year at Kentucky, and how Wall, Cousins et al revived UK’s cool factor.

Also maybe one regarding IU’s struggles, factors, etc.

No one wants to see that crap nationally.

I like how 30 for 30 jumped on the Virginia story, losing in the 1st Round to a #16 seed to following that up with a national title. That was a pretty obvious documentary to make. Here are a few thoughts...

-Scott Drew inheriting an absolute dumpster fire program. Heck, Baylor was dealing with a homicide case that got shoved under the carpet. To go from that - to national champs?! Obviously that covers many years, but still an incredible transformation.

-The One And Done phenomenon. Teams to focus on might be '07 Ohio State, '12 Kentucky, and '15 Duke... but this could also contain many of the failures of the OAD model. Lots of OAD teams failed to live up to expectations. Could easily contain multiple episodes.

-The Rise of the Gonzaga program

-The Evolution of College Basketball (they made one for the College Football 150 series, so I imagine it would be comparable).

-The Butler Bulldogs magical back-to-back title game runs... other incredible Cinderella runs in March would be fine, too. George Mason in 2006 and Loyola Chicago in 2018 were two of the more memorable ones.

-Maybe one on a legendary coach like Izzo, Self, Wright, Huggins, Boeheim, etc.

-One with Tyler Hansbrough and/or JJ Redick

-Ed O'Bannon. From National Champion to taking down the NCAA on a class action lawsuit.

-Jimmer Mania.

-1997 Arizona Wildcats. What they did was disgustingly impressive. Took down three 1 seeds. And I want to say all 6 tournament wins were by single digits.

Beard leaving Tech for UT only to fail miserably and fall out of coaching due to severe alcoholism; all while watching his former assistant win the NC he sought so badly with the former team he shunned.

This is what happens when you wear orange. Let that be a lesson all should learn.

The 1989 Big Ten season. So many great games, teams, players and coaches. The eventual national champs Michigan beating the Flyin’ Illini (after losing handily to them twice) in the Final Four, with neither of those teams actually winning the conference (IU snuck in there and won it by one game).

I know a series I'ld like for them or anyone, is to do one like hoop dreams. With AAU the way it is now, it could make for some very interesting stories.

You were caught red handed.
They literally never found evidence of Pearl's accusations and nailed us to the wall with other random, minor violations they found...?? Lol, such a sacred belief of Iowa fans to believe your line of thinking, but Pearl has made it perfectly clear what we should think of his side of the story since then.

I vote for this.
The enigma of Bob Knight. Probably the most controversial and charismatic of all the great coaches.

He is a complicated man.

The Bruce Pearl story:

From fabricating evidence as a peon at iowa, sowing a trail of probation and success at auburn.

He was at BC during the point shaving scandal too wasn’t he? Had nothing to do with him but still pretty funny his stuff just sort of seems to follow him.
