The SEC is shaping up to be a tough Conference

Like Clemson, if Vandy could play their tournament games at home, they would kill it, but away from home, they're meh.
But yeah, Vany's lack of size is most likely going to be their undoing.
I think Clemson could actually make a little run. I feel they've been underrated all year.

Without looking them up, I don't recall any big wins away from home.
They need the right matchups to make a run, but they are definitely a sleeper.
They just shoot extremely well, mix that in with that one smart big they have. I agree the home courts can be ridiculous though.

In some good news for UK...since they were throttled at Ole Miss and looked terrible defensively, the defense has massively improved.

In the eight games since the Ole Miss debacle, UK is rated 15th in defensive metrics.

On the year as a whole, UK has moved from outside the top 100 to top 50.

I have given Pope a hard time this year about his inability to get UK to play with intensity on the defensive end, but they are playing their best defensively that they have all year at the perfect time.

Curious if that will continue moving forward.

It looks like UK is ranked 8th overall and 11th in defensive efficiency since the Ole Miss debacle from what I keep hearing. That’s incredible even if Butler played the entite time, but he was put for most of that. He’s our best defender.

The Williams/Carr tandem has been much better defensively as well since Carr has gotten healthy.
Williams has turned into a big problem for opposing bigs. He did a great job on Broome and when he comes out of the game, the difference is noticeably immediately. He’s a hoss.

Williams has been so much better than he was in non-con play. If Garrison had a brain he could be good too, but he's just dumb, or he tries too hard to force things that aren't there. Once he gets the ball he sure as hell hates giving it up, no matter what, and it usually results in a turnover.

Kevin, you are always so eloquent. We should name you Rival's CBB statesman for the board.

I might have been ok w/Lofton over Bradley. He scored an insane amount of points in the wrong uniform.
Indeed, but it's easy to say after the fact. Pitino didn't recruit him either. We'll just have to live with the fact that 2 of Tennessee's 5 retired jerseys are Kentuckians.

Tubby didn’t want him and iirc, he wasn't happy about that and wanted to show everyone they shouldn't have passed on him, but that's what I recall from years ago.
I remember he was a good 3 pt shooter.
