The SEC is shaping up to be a tough Conference

Houston is Tennessee with an elite offense.
Houstob does not have an elite offense to me. Auburn had far bigger problems with Tennessee's defense than Houstons this year. Houston is likely grtting bama or tennessee as there 2 seed in tourney

I have Houston with the top 4 in the SEC but texas tech. no
I think at a certain level of teams it comes down to a particular night. Could Houston beat UT on a certain night, yes. Could UT beat Houston on a certain night, yes.

I wouldn't sleep on Texas Tech.

Wow, I hurt somebody's feels. why do you care what I think? Why are you so upset?
you didn't even come close to hurting my "feels" and not upset at all. I just called you out on your foolish observation that Bama gets extra credit for their final four run last year. You just gotta own that pitiful mindset. Thats a big reach Jeff.

They have one of the best bigs in the country and four guards who shoot over 40% from three. That’s pretty ****ing elite.

Saw a possibility that we draw Kansas in the 2nd round, that'd simply not be good for us.

Hell I'd rather play Houston than Kansas simply because Hunter Dickinson owns us

Tennessee beat florida and alabama this year who are both better than Houston so ues they could beat them

No, they’re not, but even if they were, everyone knows that using transitive property is for fools.

KU beat UCF by 50 on the road. UCF beat A&M, who just beat Auburn by double digits. Obviously, KU >>>>> Auburn. It’s science.

Like the Big 10 a few years ago, the SEC has mainly built its reputation by beating each other. To justify the over the top homerism, they need to put about 6 of their 45 teams in the Elite 8 and three in the final 4. I won’t be a bit surprised if their tourney performance is closer to the norm.

I would disagree with that take. SEC teams took down a lot of high ranked non SEC teams during non conference play.

beat each other? Auburn has 2 wins over 2 top 10 ranked big 12 schools this season. alabama also beat your winner

I agree with you that Houston is really good but this is just not true. They got their rep this year from what they did OOC. The league had like a 90% win rate OOC.

They did well, but well enough to proclaim it “fact” that it’s the greatest conference we’ve ever seen? I see that posted here every day.

I think it’s ridiculous to even have that conversation before the tournament, much less labeling it a fact.

The issue isn’t whether or not it’s a good league. The question is have they proven to be the “greatest conference we’ve ever seen?” And is it justified to treat other good conferences like they’re single A minor leagues by comparison? Granted, we know how SEC fans roll in football so it’s not too surprising.

I agree that they have to perform in the tournament, but there's no question that the league had one or the greatest OOC runs of all time. I haven't ever proclaimed it as the greatest of all time but I definitely think it's up there. What the SEC did OOC was ridiculous and surprising because most of the league usually drops some head scratches early on.

The SEC has 16 teams, just like the Big 12, which is 2 fewer than the ACC and Big 10.

SEC is the greatest conference of all time regardless what happens in the tourney. We are bigger, better, stronger and faster than all the other conferences. We spend to be the premier conference

Aren’t they expected to get 12 in the field? That’s what I was referring to.
They've all had the same chance to put just as many or more teams into the tourney. If you think the reputation was mainly built on beating each other you must've missed the first 2 months of the season. SEC non-con record is 185-23, which includes plenty of power conference opponents.

Kansas would be an easier game than Houston.

Houston does not have Hunter Dickinson who has owned our faces off the past few years
