Take one starter off your team and replace him with a starter from another team.

That’s really tough because I think the gap between each swap is pretty similar. I’d probably go with swap Jon Teske for Juwan Morgan and have Morgan play a stretch 5 role.

Michigan’s starting 5 is unique in that they are all pretty even in terms of impact. There can’t be many teams where the starting 5 is so close.

It was TIC bro, I get it.

I'd take Zion because he's a transcendent talent but Tre Jones is one of my favorite players in the country and massively underrated.
I agree with everything you said.

Do you at all think it’d be beneficial to start Richards over PJ and parcel out Washington and Travis a little more? I know statistically Washington blocks shots, but he doesn’t strike me as a rim protector much, and it’s very strange to see Kentucky without a dominant rim protector.

I know it’s splitting hairs because the minutes wouldn’t change that much, but it seems like it might be interesting to limit the minutes that Travis and Washington are out there together. I haven’t seen a ton of Kentucky though, maybe Richards has been bad.
It's an odd dynamic. The biggest problem is that there's no consistency out of any of them. I'm at the point that I'd give EJ Montgomery mins at the 5, move Reid to the 4, and bench PJ unless he's ready to show up. Dude is Houdini.

Nick Richards has blocks for hands. I've completely given up hope for that kid. Can't block shots, can't make shots, can't rebound. Very disappointed in his lack of development, which is on Calipari and the coaches more than Richards, in my opinion.

Is bassey solid? Haven’t watched wku this year.
He's pretty good. Not a world beater, but I think he'd compliment what Calipari tries to do on defense better than our current pieces. Reid Travis is great, but the dude has a limited vertical so he can't block shots and doesn't give you much other than rebounding on defense. PJ has a vertical but he's not a rim protector. Bassey has the height and length to compliment Travis at the 4.

Michigan has not got the 5 best players, but I agree that they all play their roles great as a team.

I’d really just like to see Iggy, Mathews, and Poole hitting it every game. Also for Johns to work his way into the regular rotation.

You could make an argument for each player being the most deveststing to lose.
