Think you might be selling the Gatorade player of the year a little short.SmokinSmile

You might want to have Stetson ahead of us.
Obviously understand that, but you guys had what, 9 scholly players last night? Not even Thanksgiving yet, FSU will improve.

And don't get me started what NCAA is doing to Baba...

We had 8. But only two of the 5 out will come back this season, and one of them won’t come back until January.

Worse than that, our effort was pathetic. The toughness, the grit, the defensive disruption, the willingness to run through a wall for your teammate, all the hallmarks of FSU teams in the last 6-7 years, none of it was present.

Maybe. Idk. I saw one of his Sunrise Christian games and I wasn't blown away. Small sample size, though.. Obviously he can shoot. And 23 points in his college debut is nice. If he's KU's leading scorer, then he should easily be a top 50 player.

I wasn't blown away by the high school game I saw either. Maybe we saw the same game. I was surprised to see him named Gatorade NPOY. But based on the Omaha game and the exhibition, he definitely looks like that kind of player. His game looks polished and he's more than just a shooter. Will be interesting to see how he does against Duke.

Anyone every heard of him? Some people call him the JUCO Giannis. Obviously hyperbolic, but I'm excited to see this kid play. He didn't start playing basketball on a team until after he graduated high school. Could be someone who blossoms during the season. He had 14 points and 8 rebounds in only 19 minutes of action on Monday night. I thought seriously about taking him with my 12th round pick in the college basketball draft.

Also, can someone find me a more exciting passer in college basketball than Taran Armstrong (via Australia), who plays for California Baptist. His crosscourt passes are on point. First chance for most to see him play will be November 21st on CBS Sports Network where they'll be playing.

Being ranked in the top 150 means you're a really good player. This should not be a slight. I've seen 4 other rankings of top 100 players and Key isn't listed in any of them.

If he gets enough touches, I think he could certainly lead Tennessee in scoring. But, Tennessee has a fairly balanced offense. So, not sure what his usage rate will be. Either way, Tennessee is a top 10 team with a lot of talent.

Emoni Bates is playing pretty well against Michigan. Maybe the move to Eastern Michigan was a good one.
He didn't fit in at Memphis. On or off the court. Blame Penny and or the city of Memphis. It's not for everyone.

Everything I've read/heard he's a good kid. Dad, Penny, etc hasn't done him any favors.

He has been fun to watch but is going to load up on techs if he always acts like this, lol. He has some talent though. Shot resembles Curry a bit to me (in look).

Haha that's a bad loss. Looks like Mike Miles missed the game, though. Still, a really bad L.

I don't think it's reactionary to think TCU will be top-15 good this year, though. The Zona game wasn't a single sample size. They were 26th in KenPom. It's not that far-fetched to think the 26th best team, returning everyone, could be a top 15 team. Downside for TCU, is it seems like none of their guards can shoot consistently from the outside.
