So another coach has 5 Rings, 3 Olympic medals, the most NCAA tourney wins and most Acc championships. I could be wrong on Acc. And the most all time wins? Who?
John Wooden accomplished more than that, he didn't coach in the ACC. Accomplishments are part of the criteria, but they aren't everything.

Wrong. How many Olympic medals, How many NCAA wins. How many total wins.

How many games did he have to win to get to the FF?

Yea, he was fighting a little short handed; only Melo, LeBron, and DWade

Guarantee you that if K was still coaching, he would have LeBron and company playing. Wonder why they don't ask Calipari to coach??

The greatest coach of all time idea has to have dividing line of 1957 or so. 57 was the year of Wilt, or maybe change the line to the year after UTEP beat UK for the title. Those two milestones ignited the recruiting battles we have today. Wooden's best or most legitimate titles were pre-Alcindor and pre-Gilbert. Bobby Knight was the bet I have seen at the top of the major level of coaching players up. Also another dividing line should be pre-conference champs and the elite independents versus the the present field of 68 teams.

Pretending that coach matters more than a minuscule amount for the US national team is silly. The teams' success are dependent on the roster, and the roster alone. Most of us know enough basketball to coach most US teams to a gold.

Also, saying that Wooden was on or above the level Coach K is at is non-sense. We know for a fact that Wooden's titles were bought and paid for, in an era with less competition. K has had a few players that there were rumors about, but nothing on the level of having a permanent bag man and nothing has actually been proven at all. K has to get the nod.
