Hail, this is a biased poll and you know it. The ball had gotten blocked when Sissoko was going up. He was going for a block but it had already gotten blocked.
Look at his eyes. They were closed, which is very very dumb, but the truth. This guy totally deserved a flagrant 2 which I’ve said 25 times but you won’t acknowledge, but his eyes are closed on that block. So what was he swinging at? Why not jump with his arms straight up?
That’s what I’ve been saying from the start. It wasn’t intentional.Doesn't really look intentional to me.
Yeah and that’s actual thing we’re arguing over. I don’t think it warrants a suspension and Hail does. I don’t think Sissoko was attempting to injure Ayo.Looked like he flagrantly swiped at the guy, but I’m not sure it warrants a suspension or not.
Initial reaction, I wouldn’t suspend him. If he got kicked out of the game, I think that’s enough. It would be different if he threw a punch or something.Yeah and that’s actual thing we’re arguing over. I don’t think it warrants a suspension and Hail does.
I completely agree. That’s what I’ve been saying. It’s a flagrant 2, but he was trying to make a basketball play in all totality. It’s definitely overly aggressive and deserved what it got but yeah, I don’t see a need for a suspension.Initial reaction, I wouldn’t suspend him. UK had a game where a guy straight double handed showed somone out of bounds against Auburn. Not basketball play, the shot the FT's and that was that. No need for suspension IMO.I completely agree. You got to post the Kofi clip as well, as much as I enjoy watching him, this was not a good look for him. You could definitely make an argument he threw a punch to back of Sissoko's head.
He’s a freshman who started playing the sport a few years ago and is a really big athletic guy. I would lean towards giving him the benefit of the doubt as opposed to some elder players on a play like this.Definitely should be flagrant 2 and kicked. Coin flip on the suspension for me. He either intentionally acted in a way that could hurt someone or he is incredible dumb/made a dumb move.
That was also after Mady had smacked Kofi on the head and no flagrant was called on it either. He had been two handed shoving Kofi all night and the video looks like he gets his upper back not head like a swim move to get around someone that happens all the time in games. You got to post the Kofi clip as well, as much as I enjoy watching him, this was not a good look for him. Yeah no I agree. You were just saying that it either was a dumb move or an intentional one, and I thought I’d provide a little context on the type of player he is. I agree it shouldn’t factor into a suspension or not. That's understandable, but I don't think you can use that to influence your choice to suspend or not. If I had to choose, I wouldn't suspend. Just stay with the ejection.
I don't know who you are, but you just made a friend. That was also after Mady had smacked Kofi on the head and no flagrant was called on it either. I ask that you edit this to say "back of Sissoko's back" for accuracy. You got to post the Kofi clip as well, as much as I enjoy watching him, this was not a good look for him. You could definitely make an argument he threw a punch to back of Sissoko's head.
There was physicality back and forth the whole night. Kofi was hammering dudes down low and didn’t get a ton of calls on him all night.I don't know who you are, but you just made a friend.
Kofi can push MSU's bigs around without the forearms and hands on the back. If you rewatch the game, there's not actually very much physicality coming from our guys on defense because we barely played any. There was physicality back and forth the whole night. Yea that clip got brought up in the B1G thread. Refs screwed the pooch in this gameThat was also after Mady had smacked Kofi on the head and no flagrant was called on it either. Agree to disagree. I saw multiple fouls from Kofi that were no calls.Kofi can push MSU's bigs around without the forearms and hands on the back. If you rewatch the game, there's not actually very much physicality coming from our guys on defense because we barely played any.![]()
I do feel it could have been called a foul but they were obviously letting a LOT get past them but given it looked clear his arm hit his back as the jersey was covered and his head didn't drop away from his body I would have a hard time assessing a flagrant 1 based on it. Standard big man foul fighting for position possibly.Yea that clip got brought up in the B1G thread. Refs screwed the pooch in this game
Doesn't really look intentional to me.
