I started a brewery and distillery in Cincinnati last year.

I have my grandfather’s recipe from 1898. I wonder how his would compare to yours? He used a lot of rye. I suppose he did that as it was easy to grow in the cool months.

The only thing missing is how much yeast he used.

He made 269 gallons of whisky a day up until Prohibition came along.
