The Olympics thread

I wish that kid would have fallen to the ground and laid there for five minutes in excruciating pain, then get carried off by two dudes half his size just to jog back up the LeBitch like nothing happened.
Off topic, but how ya been brother? Haven’t been on here in a while. Good to see all the regulars still posting. Hope all is well man.

lol like you have any clue how either of them are as human beings.

OMG MJ is a POS because he punched Steve Kerr in practice!!!

OMG LEbron is a saint because he built a school in Akron!!!

I've lived in Chicago for 54 years in the area where MJ lived and the Bulls practiced. Never heard anyone say a bad thing about MJ or how he treated people in the community. And regarding your first "point", i used to deliver at a place that MJ ordered from all the time. Never got to take his food to his house, but everyone who did raved about how nice he was and how big of a tip he would give.

I bet MJ never escorted a ref down the court to snitch on a fan before.

Speaking of Lebron, y'all remember basketball before flopping was a thing?

MJ is a pos for not allowing Isiah to be a member of the Dream Team.

You gonna take this @Bert Higginbotha?

I have him on ignore and did not read it until your post. The ignore button really helps enjoying this site.

Getting back down to a 3rd grade level: I don't mind being called bat shit crazy by folks who are bat shit stupid. He probably does not even like Makers Mark!

@WeAreDePaul is a fantastic poster and I really enjoy his posts and positions. He is far, far away from any 3rd grade bull shit.

"Michael loved Isaiah. He loved everything about us in Detroit." 🤣🤣 There has been a lot of speculation about why Thomas didn't make the team, but as a Detroit native and Pistons fan, it's easy to blame it on MJ.

yea that was a very odd interview with Sally. But one thing he said was 100% true. The root of the feud came from Zeke's jealousy that MJ had come in and laid claim to his home town. before that, Zeke was still beloved in Chicago. Even on the Pistons we all rooted for Zeke because the Bulls were trash.

But once MJ came aboard that all ended and we went from loving Zeke to downright hating him for being part of the Bad Boys. Zeke was clearly bothered by this and it was this jealousy that led to the bad blood between him and MJ.

Zeke made his bed at the all star game Jordan’s rookie year, not MJ’s fault that Zeke had to sleep in it.
It probably didn't help that the Pistons walked off the court without shaking hands after being defeated by the Bulls in the 1991 Eastern Conference Championship.

of course. All that stuff led to Chicago turning on Zeke. My memory is a little hazy, but if I recall correctly the public didn't even find out about the Zeke led all star game freeze out MJ's rookie year until many years later.

The Bad boy stuff
The rookie game freeze out
The non handshake walk off with Zeke literally leading the procession right past MJ all caught on camera

Zeke went from Chicago's favorite son to being public enemy #1 and persona non grata almost overnight it seemed.

I have no clue if that interview has any legs or Salley is just talking out of his ass. I just remember seeing it a few weeks ago so the timing made sense to post. I would like to see whatever Magic documentary he's speaking of where Magic supposedly takes responsibility for keeping Isiah off the Dream Team.

You are 100% correct. Zeke did that to himself and there was a lot of jealousy there and we all know MJ doesn't forget a thing.

sad as it is, that is one of our 3 most famous players since the Quentin Richardson team. Paul Reed, Max Struss and that kid, Pantelis Xidias, the greatest end of the bench walk on the game has ever seen.

True story, when I bought tickets to a game during the Pantelis era I made sure to get seats with a view of the bench so I could watch his reactions all game. Knew that would be far more interesting than the game itself.

Have you attended any games at the relatively new Wintrust Arena? I thought it would aid in recruiting.

Been to a couple. Or maybe it was just one. Don't remember, but I definitely went when Xidas was a walk on.

Only thing that matters for recruiting these days is the number of zeros in your NIL offer.

She's no Sydney McLaughlin, but a smokeshow in her own right.

McLaughlin is the more accomplished runner. But if a modeling agency were coming to town and had to sign one of them, I don't think they'd have to deliberate very long before picking Gabby Thomas.

Meh, tomato/tomato. Speaking of modeling, McLaughlin is the face of Neutrogena.
