Is that syrup he's drinking. Seems like a waste.

edit: ok that bombed. I'm too drunkto be posting anymore. See you guys tomorrow or yeah.
That's some awfully thin syrup. But seriously, at first I was like-------Huh? But I get it. Not bad, Lurk. Not bad.

But yeah-----get some rest.

Basil Haydens is my go to. I don't drink whiskey a lot so I always have something good on hand. For some reason I get a reaction from drinking to much whiskey----makes me look like i took a vacation on the surface of the sun.

I get a reaction from drinking too much whiskey, too. I become an asshole. Or just more of an asshole, depending on who you ask.

I like it and I like most rye whiskeys. But over time my favored keeps getting back to straight bourbon. I am picky on brand. So of the more expensive are not really good in my book, like Woodford Reserve, don't taste good to me.

Russell Reserve 10 year old Rye is fantastic.

If money isn't a consideration, my tastes are:

1) Scotch
2) Bourbon/American Whiskey
3) Canadian Whiskey
.
.
.
4) Irish Whiskey

Good ol' Jack Daniels is my go-to. Irish whiskies have just never impressed me. They always seem to lack flavor.

Used to be a JD guy when I was younger, but that dude messes me up. Bourbon to me is much easier to shoot and doesn't hit as hard in the mornings.

I have a bottle of this I am waiting for the right time to pop open. If you like the single malt scotches it's interesting because the wine barrel aging for the last year. Only 9000 bottles of this particular one was made. Longrow does a "Red Series" with a different red wine barrel aging variation to it. So each year is different in types of red wine barrels and also the amount of time it spends in the red wine barrels. Some of the other ones they have left to sit for 3-4 years.
