As a neurtral with no dog in the fight, seems pretty obvious to me that the bet should be if Iowa finishes better than 12th those guys are banned and if Iowa finishes worse than 5th you are banned.

they even had a winning record in BT play in the 16-17 season when they were picked to finished 10th or worse and yet the finished in a tie for 5th with these same players when they were FR. now that they are JR's with a pair of 4* player in 4* PG Connor and 4* top 50 in SG/SF Wieskamp,
there is nothing to say they won't win and make the NCAAT AGAIN this season. Iowa will have a 4* players starting at every position with a 6th coming off the bench. only hatred is causing the prediction of being worse than the last season.

PG Carton is a top 50 recruit by 247 and #51 by Rivals and the HR Recruiting prediction has his @50% to Iowa and he is from Iowa.
who knows going into the 19-20 season this team could have 8 4* players with 4 top 50 payers on the roster.

Stop using Patrick as an example of a good recruit from Iowa. He's only coming to Iowa because his dad is the f'ing coach. Just like Wieskamp is coming because his family is friends with the McCaffery family and he's liked Iowa since he was little kid. Neither of those 2 gets are that impressive to me. I doubt we get either but if we land Carton and Foster or even 1 that could be the start of something good

nope. why would they, Fran took over a program where the fan had grown apathetic about the program seeing Iowa go thru 11 years where the team had just 3 .500 or better winning seasons in the BT with the last 3 where Iowa avg'd just 5 BT wins per season, also in that 11 seasons Iowa had won just 1 F'N NCAAT game. that is what Fran took over and attendance had fall below 7000 fans and sometimes less than 5000.
THEN how did he get Cook or the DC Gatorade POY. also if Fran was not the coach none of them would have never come to Iowa,
same with top 100 PG Gesell from Nebraska, and even top 50 Woodbury would have gone to UNC and that pair led Iowa to Iowa 3rd best win total in Iowa's History and 3 straight NCAAT.
now Fran has 6 4* players that will be here for the next 2 years, Like I posted on HR their recruiting prediction board has Carton 50% to Iowa. that's a pretty damn good showing in favor of Fran.
