That was my thought too. We SHOULD finish ahead of 12th because we bring back every good player except maybe Cook. We were HORRIBLE this year and finished 13th. Not a stretch to say we move up 2 spots

I'll take this bet if he wants to. 8th or lower and you don't come back, 7th or higher and I don't. Like I said in my previous post, he's just hedging his bets which is why he won't accept. It's what he does best. Going from 13th to 11th doesn't show much growth in a team if you ask me. That can happen just by staying the same and other teams getting worse. I'm on ignore so someone quote this so he sees it

under Lute Iowa had 2 bad seasons one where his team went 5-13 in 9 seasons when the league just had 10 teams and yet he finished with a BT Championship, a FF, Sweet 16 and 2 1st round wins. JUST Think if he had been fired there would never been a BT Championship or FF, that 5-13 team was made up of SO's and FR.

Dr. Tom in 13 seasons recorded 2 bad seasons in 13 seasons one a 4-14 BT record and a 5-13 record, and both time his team recorded a 1st round win in the NCAAT,

Dr. Tom had less talent but was loaded with Iowa players has were most of his players for the 13 years he was the coach. he was run off after reaching the Sweet 16 Losing to Eventual NCAAT Champion UConn.

I have seen season just has bad as this last season and they always bounce back when players become JR's and SR's.
that's exactly what Lute and Dr. Tom did.

Dr. Tom has 125 wins in 13 seasons with a 9-0 1st round NCAAT 1 Elite 8 and 1 Sweet 16

Fran will not be fired, his cointract runs thru the year that Patrick will graduate, he is getting pay that puts him in the middle of the BT Coaches, that is also based on performance, he did not make the full amount because the team did not reach any post season play
