What if Saint Peters beat UK, UNC, Duke, and Kansas on their way to a championship? My mind is ****ing blown right now by even the possibility
That would make it the best March madness of all time. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, don’t see them going any further. UNC should handle them no problem, and even if St.Peter’s somehow manages to go another step further, we still need to be aware of the fact that no team seeded 9 or below has ever won a game in final 4.

No 15 seed had ever made the Elite Eight either, until now.

Won't happen. St Peters will get blown out this next round. They won't let them foul, push and grab the way they did last night.

This entire season has been a joke officiating wise across the country. Last night was a specimen of that. Jay Bilas has been crowing about it all season.

Not saying St Peters isn't good. They are, but they showed several non called fouls live in slow motion replay. Ivey turned the ball over mid court and slow motion replay shows the defender holding Ivey's off arm. Tre get's his shot blocked and slow motion replay shows his arm being hit. That's just two examples that were shown on replay of fouls that weren't called. Another comes to mind where Tre had a put back that he scored on that should have been an and 1. Edey, the largest man on the floor, was constantly being shoved in the back. You're telling me that he was unable to post up lower than the free throw line? No. They were allowing them to push and shove to amounts that they shouldn't have been allowed to.

Consider this. Purdue is one of the best teams in the country to get to the FT line and St Peters is one of the worst in the country at putting teams on the FT line, yet the FT's were evenly matched before the final minutes? That doesn't jive.

Granted, Purdue lost the game by turning the ball over like crazy and IMO the largest reason they didn't blow St Peters out. I'm not saying in any way that the game was lost only because of officiating. Not at all. But it played a large part in the decision in a close game due to Purdue's mistakes.

I know this entire thing will fall on def ears because people want the Cinderella story but it is what it is.

Can we slow down on the ACC dick riding? We all knew that UNC was hot going into the tourney. Miami beat Auburn. Cool.

That doesn’t mean that Wake Forest was secretly awesome. 🤣

I have multiple Purdue fans in my life and they are a secondary team I root for on the reg.

We've heard you out.

Purdue played like a complete pile of dog sh!t last night.

The ACC was definitely down but it is still 3 times better than all other conferences. So Wake or UVA aren’t suddenly awesome but most bubble teams aren’t. UVA went 3-4 against Elite 8 teams this year (2-0 vs Miami, 1-1 vs Duke, 0-2 vs UNC, 0-1 vs Houston). That’s a lot better than the overrated B1G and SEC teams.

To be fair, don’t think many people or any experts had UNC beating Baylor . Plus Auburn was a 2 seed and was KU’s supposedly biggest threat to make the final four , that was a big upset by Miami .

Hoping for some good elite eight games .

There is a ton of parity in today's game. Fans get carried away with the conference honking and conference trashing.

I believe if UNC had been playing at a T10 level the entire year instead of going on a heater now the ACC would have gotten a little more respect.

Bids should probably be a little more evenly distributed. I know we are supposed to look at the team and not consider conference affiliation but without evidence it feels like whenever a league gets a ton of bids they underperform.

Miami will beat Kansas if that Kansas team from the second half last night shows up tomorrow

WHoa, wait-----a fan of a team , from the B10, with a 7'4"/6'10" duo, is, I mean saying this????

Please, please, PLEASE tell me you are not blaming the officiating...PLEASE.
I didn't see any over the top physical play. Gillis came in and actually played physical for Purdue and he was effective. He and Williams were the only two guys for Purdue that played a competent game and Williams made his share of bonehead plays. Edey was ineffective and Ivey was straight up a no show. I can't even put it on Painter really at some point you gotta put it on the players.
