They interviewed UK's Krissa on the field of 68 and asked him about Flagg. He was like that's the number 1 pick no doubt. One of the guys asked why...he was like I dunno that's the number 1 pick. It's like everyone has been brain washed into oblivion.

That isn't how it went. Kriisa was talking shit like he always does. He was being sarcastic. 😂

Duke is going to be really good by tournament time, while the old men at Kentucky are peaking right now 😀

Just saw on the news that Kentucky fans burned couches in the middle of Lexington last night? Yikes!!! It’s friggin November and a long way from March.
We're just getting started bro. Coaches in Louisville are up next.

I said what I said.

Some thoughts...

Flow to the game was clunky. Good defensive efforts on both teams. Refs were inconsistent. A lot of whistles in the first half. Only 9 combined fouls the first 18 minutes of the second half. The game was super physical. Probably could have called 50 fouls that game. I can think of at least 3 instances were Duke blatantly should have been called for a foul. There were 2 no-calls that went against Duke that were huge. First possession of the second half Carr-Maluach were going for a rebound - Carr slaps both the left and right arm of Maluach, hip checks him, and then falls on his leg. How do you not call that? Maluach was a bit gimpy after that - and wasn't himself in the 2nd half (obviously the cramping played a big factor, too). And then the Amari Williams moving screen on Sion James. Brea nails a three - and Sion James is out for the game. Huge momentum swing.

We essentially played the final 13 minutes with 6 guys (And Gillis didn't offer much). Duke guys looked especially winded the last 6-7 minutes to me. Not a huge fan of the iso-ball, but when you go 4-23 from 3 with relatively clean looks, I can't blame Scheyer for going to Flagg possession after possession down the stretch. Kentucky made the big plays in the closing minutes, and Duke did not. UK was deserving of the win. Still think this Duke team has a really high ceiling. Just need to be way more consistent on those open perimeter shots.

I agree about the refs. They were inconsistent. Cooper Flagg loves his chicken wing. He could have fouled out way before his stretch at the end.

Also that blocking foul on Kerr was pretty bad. Duke created the separation at the end of the first half when got into foul trouble.

Another thing that was on display was makeup calls. Duke was in the bonus early while also having 3-4 calls on them only for the refs to call petty stuff near the end to make up the difference.

They equally called bad calls. Still early for them I guess.

Yeah, that block call on Kerr was one of the blantant calls I was referencing. Refs were just all over the place. Bad calls (or no-calls) on both sides. Game was honestly pretty ugly to watch from a fan's perspective.

I hate to say it but the way we played defense is the same way Louisville played under Pitino. And we gave them so much shit for it lol
It was great game adjustments by Pope, run the offense from inside out and not just bomb threes to mixing up defenses. I even saw a 1-3-1 trapping zone.

UK also got away with a couple of double dribbles and they called UK for walking when a player went down and it was play-on when a Duke player did the same.

UK made as many FT's as Duke took. 7 points to UK's favor.

Thank you UK and Duke for salvaging the night after that awful first game. I am happy to say I bet on UK at half. I just had a feeling.
Can’t remember the last time we made halftime adjustments to win a big game like this. I was worried about our defense going into the second half, but Pope and the boys really amped it up.

Re-watching the game at work.

I'm surprised they never pressured Williams at the top of the key. I get he's not a 3 point threat, but that would have disrupted most of UK's offense.

It would've opened up the middle you big dummy.
