He was a hard nose ass hole. JoePa let his D coordinator butt fvck little boys, and even let him room with kids going to bowl games. Bobby Knight is not Joe Pa. Joe Pa is in hell.
I could’ve easily made that point as well (and I agree with it), but I’d rather just end the attempt to “gotcha” me more quickly.

If morality was seen as a true dichotomy, Knight clearly falls in the bad guy bucket, but I think most people view it as a scale with varying degrees of “bad guys”. This doesn’t erase the things Knight did of course, he’s still a dickhead

Edit: I also don’t turn to college coaches for my examples of moral people. Most if not all are exploitative pieces of shit.

Sports betting finally legal in CT. Is it bad that I’ve wagered nearly 4k today? My wife not happy about the legal change…

I've read and heard Illinois is on the upswing in two different places this week, and it's given me a good laugh.

Perhaps but these Dante Pettis bets have paid out nicely. Lost a G on Chiefs in game bets. They really sucked today. Looking like will lose a G on Eagles in game bets as well.

You either have a problem or have much more disposable income than I do.

Of course, one could argue I gambled a hell of a lot more when I stepped out of the corporate world and opened a brewery without knowing how to brew beer.

Wait, you own a brewery?

I own 3 and a distillery (with a few others people).

Do you ship any of your beer?

It’s only a problem if I lose more than I win, and it this point I am way ahead. Could have been even better if Xavier Rhodes hadn’t stepped on the sideline on his INT return. I had a parlay for Taylor, Cox, and Colt D. Only wagered $100 and the payout would have been over $10K.

We do not. We are only in Ohio and Northern Kentucky right now.
Damn, I would have bought a few cases. I've always wanted to own a winery. A brewery would be cool too.

But I guarantee you it has it's drawbacks too, and you hear all the time how awesome your job is and you say "It's great" and silently say to yourself it sucks most of the time just like your job does.

I was excited to buy some of his beer when I went to Indianapolis but they aren’t in Indiana yet

What exactly is the false narrative there? Is this one publication more credible than all the rest?
I believe you wanted proof that there were publications that thought Illinois was the best team in the conference, and you repeatedly asserted there were none. That's multiple.

So he has them ranked there because he expects all of these things to happen:

1. Kofi becomes more versatile.
2. Curbelo develops a jumpshot.
3. Hutcherson becomes Duncan Robinson.

Well yes, if all of those things happen, Illinois MIGHT be the best team in the Big Ten. Highly unlikely though.

You bring those goalposts back right now.

1. doesn't need to happen
2. seems highly likely
3. physically impossible

You spent like 2 pages calling preseason rankings useless and then hit us with Mike Decourcy’s top 25 list as a gotcha moment?

Take some time off, man. You can’t even keep your trolls straight right now.

To be fair, he explicitly states that those are his assumptions in ranking Illinois #3.
That's fine, but you could also see Trojan's pivot incoming. Every person has projections as part of their ratings, so it's not really important to the argument.

Are you in any stores in the downtown Cincy area? I get down that way quite a bit, but we don’t often go out as far as where your brewery is located.
Our Woodburn location is only about 3 miles from downtown. That would be the best bet. Plus, our food there if phenomonal.

There really aren't a lot of stores in downtown Cincinnati. We are in several bars down there but it's mostly just our seltzers (which are much more popular than our beer in distro).

Did you read his write up on “why they are here”? He says exactly those things.
Like I said above, it's irrelevant why he picked Illinois as the best team when it comes to your argument. You seem to struggle with that sort of thing.

So you admit that his projections are impossible, but still use it as a valid source to make your point? Congrats lol.

Nope, Belo's shot looks fine. Kofi looks like a first team AA again. Hutcherson played well the other night. He should be a valuable player.

You literally said it wasn’t physically possible for Hutcherson to be as good as Duncan Robinson. Everyone should look good against St Francis Illinois.

Curbelo is not developing into a good 3 pt shooter this year. He will still be unbelievably good, but he isn’t becoming a good 3pt shooter.

I said it wasn't physically possible for Hutcherson to become Duncan Robinson. Learn to read.

I couldn't put less stock into any of your predictions. You are always wrong.
