So you had a good season 3 coaches ago? We had two good seasons back to back.
4th and 2nd in the Big Ten is something to brag about now. I just need to get it through my head that Illinois has the expectations of a mid to low tier Big Ten program. Two top 4 finishes with no postseason success is an accomplishment to some I guess.

Indiana a coach with multiple Sweet 16s and multiple Big Ten regular season titles. Illinois sucks off a coach who hasn’t done either of those. You think this is a feather in your cap?

He shot 34% from 3 as a freshman. You’re making yourself look foolish.
You thought he played well? If he wasn’t Adam Miller he wouldn’t have started. I was hoping for a soph leap before the transfer but he didn’t play well last year?

I think he was better than you’re representing. He was a borderline 5 star composite 30ish. He averaged 8 ppg on 34% from 3. That’s pretty much what you should expect out of that type of player.

He was average, but he wasn’t bad. Sort of like Tamar Bates will be, but Miller is a better defender.

39% overall. His performance didn’t match the rankings. He bought into to his role late in the year until Ayo got more tixs at the BTT😂😂😂

Yeah, he couldn’t finish at the rim despite a decent build, but again, most freshman that aren’t elite struggle with that. His issue was his handlers as you alluded to.

34% from 3 was pretty bad considering he was mostly getting wide open looks.

39% from the field is also horrible.

His ceiling isn’t that high, although him and his family think otherwise, and he’s a nightmare off the court due to that.

So you expect him to suck this year?

I dont think you are qualified to tell us who wont be on the Illinois team next year.
Well to be fair----he did say "who"....

Also, Williams is a Senior.....So is Frazier. So, I mean those two are definite. If Kofi has the season everyone thinks, including you guys, its highly doubtful he returns.

So really, he's not that far off on who will be gone.

It's also hilarious to see an Indiana fan talking shit to anyone after the fiasco that was the Archie Miller era.
Such a dumb argument, really. Who care what who has done, or has not done? I mean Indiana has been shit for quite sometime....But even then, over the past 20 years, IU has the same amount of B10 titles as Purdue....Over the past 10, Purdue has 3, IU 2. Illinois has ZERO....

Miller era was a disaster. Terrible fit. But thats no longer relevant.

And Woodson is a great fit!

No, I think he’ll be average.

10-12 on points on 35 or 36% shooting from deep, on a potential tournament team.

Unfortunately that isn’t going to meet his relatively high expectations. I mean his family/him thought he was a one and done coming in….

Edit: for him to do well he needs to become a better passer and finisher at the rim. Just not sure that’s in the cards if mentally he can’t wrap his head around the reality of his game

Well that’s Underwood’s inability to develop talent for you

I agree. It's water under the bridge....just like Illinois' last 15+ years is. But Hail seems intent on polluting the thread with comments about it every damn day and Trojan continues to be the IU fan that no respectable IU fan will claim.

Indiana more recent success than Illinois Hahahahaahhahahhahahahhahahahahaha
You need to step up your trolling, game bro. IU has won more Big 10 titles in the past 8 years(2), than Illinois has in the last 15. Shit even as bad as IU has been, we have the same amount of FF's in the past 20 years(IU in 2002...Illinois in 2005).

Last year was the first time in 9 seasons Illinois made the NCAAT. And all you did was shit the bed and get blown out in the 2nd round.

Illinois has not been past the 2nd round(SW 16) since 2005. Indiana has 3 SW 16's since 2012.

So congrats on making the NCAAT last year for the first time since 2013----getting a 1 seed, then getting your shit pushed in by Loyola in the 2nd round...

This year is the only year I care about. Really interested in this IU team.

Tell us you know nothing about Bates without telling us you know nothing about Bates.

And Woodson is a great fit!
WHo knows...He could be. Then again, he could be an absolute bust. He has surrounded himself with a solid staff....has landed some nice recruits. So who knows how it turns out. I do know he;s got some very good pieces to work with...His offense is gonna be a lot kinder on the eyes.

Gonna find out soon enough.

Was Archie Miller worse than Painter from 2011-2014?
Millers last two years at Indian, he went 32-27. Painter went 34-25.. Painter had a very good 3 year run with Edwards and company---83-25, 2 Big 10 titles, 3 SW 16's and an ELite 8. But since then, not so much. And before then, nothing to write home about. Pianter is a solid coach. I actually like the dude. But its not like he's consistently had Purdue among the Elite. They've been good, for sure.

WIth that being said, this year will probably be his best team in a long time. Or it should be.

Well, Painter went to 2 of 4 NCAA tournaments in that period. How many did Miller make? He went 37-35 in B1G play. Archie went 33-45.
He went when the Big Ten was weak. He also finished last in the Big Ten. The point is that Illinois finishing 4th and 2nd in the Big Ten is not impressive.

He went when the Big Ten was weak.
I've been hearing that argument from IU fans for 30 years. Doesn't make it right.

In 2011, the Big Ten was the #1 ranked conference per KenPom and sent 7 of 11 teams to the NCAA tournament.

In 2012, the Big Ten was the #1 ranked conference per KenPom and had 5 protected seeds in the NCAA tournament (4 seed or better).

You have any other thoughts I can use to make you look stupid?
