My point was from a fan perspective that style isn’t exactly appealing.
What’s more enjoyable for a fan:
Playing a boring style and winning or playing up tempo style losing?
Would be fun for basketball but don’t see any value in those ACC schools unless they also went West and connected the coasts.

I’m not a Virginia fan so I don’t care if they win, I’m talking from an Illinois fan perspective if we added Virginia.

I’m still skeptical that longtime PAC and ACC teams are going to leave their conferences, but it would be cool if it happened that way.
I’d assume if we went to that it would be a 23 game conference schedule playing every team once for basketball.

Can’t believe I was so wrong about him; I was actually mildly optimistic with the hire. Lol. I never thought he could get us back to where Underwood has or anything, but I at least thought he’d recruit enough talent to have us in the Tournament regularly, rather than the basketball-equivalent of everyone’s Homecoming opponent.
