Head-to-head matchups only matter when the teams have similar resumes. Like with Michigan.
Turgeon actually had pretty good schemes when he played us the last two years. If you played like that all year maybe you wouldn’t have been a 10 seed.
Head to head is all that matters to these guys. To hell with what happened in the NCAA tournament 😂
They have a logjam at his position, but definitely a tough recruitment to win.

Oregon State is top 8 team. UCLA top 4.
And proceeded to have a better NCAA tournament than Illinois has had since 2005.

truthfully, head or head is a dogshit metric anyways. Trey Burke’s runner up team lost 6 games in conference including a loss to 2-16 Penn State. Who gives a ****? Lol.

I’ve never said he sucks. I said he hasn’t proven to be a top tier in game coach. He recruits well enough and he had a very nice roster handed to him from Beilein tenure. Covers his weaknesses well.

Illinois lost to the 10th ranked team, unfortunately we had to play them second round.
Michigan lost to the 14th ranked team and didn’t have to play them until the elite eight.
Doesn’t really help your argument that postseason results are the only thing that matters. Doesn’t exactly show the full picture.
KenPom is the Bible in the B1G, especially when it helps your argument.
Guess I will have to wait until the Bible gets a 2021 update to figure out how I should feel about next season.

Illinois will be higher on all preseason rankings going into next season.
