Where from, Otte? I really think teams like Warsaw and New Albany could beat Chicago St.Really do think my high school team from a town of 3,000 people would beat Chicago State every year, sadly not joking.

Brownstown Central, and oh I guarantee a lot more high school teams from Indiana could.Where from, Otte? I really think teams like Warsaw and New Albany could beat Chicago St.
I attended USI. Pearl was the HC. Really built that program into a power. They were runner-up and champioms, two of three years I was there. Have always been really good. Have had some bumps here and there. And not the Elite program they were. But still pretty damn good. Stan Guoard was a beast. Good friend. As was Chad Gilbert. Played against Chad in HS. As well as Neil Coyle. All were on that title team.Southern Indiana was a pretty damn good D2 team, not sure how good they are now. My hometown buddy played for them (graduated probably 3 or 4 years ago) and they played Purdue in an exhibition in Hummel’s 5th year and Purdue only won by like 11 I think. A lot better than a lot of D1 teams they played that year for sure.
You're from Brownstown? Holy shit. I've worked a ton of Btown games; baseball and basketball. Hated to see Lawson leave. One of my fav HS baseball coaches. But you guys got a good one in Brandon. Benter is awesome man. I could tell you some stories.Brownstown Central, and oh I guarantee a lot more high school teams from Indiana could.
Yeah man Benter is amazing dude, can’t imagine the b-ball program without him. Everyone kind of felt like Lawson was holding the baseball program back a bit but I do like him as a person. You're from Brownstown? Holy shit. Crazy you're from there. Great programs all around.
Seriously? I went to school close to there. Have lots of friends/family in Brownstown. I’d venture to say we know a lot of the same people.Brownstown Central, and oh I guarantee a lot more high school teams from Indiana could.
Where’d you go to school? Seymour?Seriously? I went to school close to there. Have lots of friends/family in Brownstown. I’d venture to say we know a lot of the same people.
No. Bloomington. But have tons of friends and family there. Used to spend a lot of time on the lake there.Where’d you go to school? Seymour?
Oh yeah if you’re talking about the lake and forest club in btown, I’ve been there a lot as well. My great grandma had a house there actually.No. Bloomington. But have tons of friends and family there. Used to spend a lot of time on the lake there.
Had a game at Brownstown, vs Orleans. Been about 4-5 years ago. Maybe longer. Anyways, Orleans was, as usual, really good. Fantastic game. Early in 2nd quarter, ball goes OOB. BANG, BANG. I give the ball to Orleans. Benter is like, "c'mon (my name), your too good to miss that!!!!". I was like, Dave, shoes are all the same damn color, man. Tough to tell. He calls a TO. Break the huddle, and the 5 he sends out, all have white tape on the toes.Laughing I just laughed. Dave says, "Hey...Just trying to help you out". One of my favorite coaches. Very respectful. But if you are new? He'll go after ya.Yeah man Benter is amazing dude, can’t imagine the b-ball program without him. Everyone kind of felt like Lawson was holding the baseball program back a bit but I do like him as a person.
You probably even reffed b-ball games I played in lol graduated in 2011. But yeah man I’m proud of what little btown can accomplish year to year in sports for how little the town is.
South or North? No. Bloomington. But have tons of friends and family there. Used to spend a lot of time on the lake there.
Yup. Same. Grandparents house then they gave it to my dad and his siblings. Love that place.Oh yeah if you’re talking about the lake and forest club in btown, I’ve been there a lot as well. My great grandma had a house there actually.
Good program. Worked their games as well. North also; though North has been down. I've had South in the regional and semi-state. Worked a handful.of reg. season games. Holmes in honery, man. But damn he can coach.South

That would be an amazing get for you all if he picks Purdue! Whose the perceived leader for him?Top 50 2019 Forward Malik Hall has his official visit to Purdue this weekend. It will be his fourth visit to Purdue. Hope it goes well.
He's a teenager so you never know but supposedly Purdue and Oregon with MSU of course coming on and Oklahoma not out of it.That would be an amazing get for you all if he picks Purdue! Whose the perceived leader for him?

There are some people on the Purdue board who would spontaneously combust if they read the words "players coach" describing Painter in an unironic way.
This is from a month or so ago, but here's what Hall had to say about the different coaches recruiting him:
Gophers Non-Con is finalized (about damn time).
Not the greatest, not the worst.
vs. Utah
vs. Texas A&M (Vancouver)
vs. Washington (Vancouver)
@ Boston College (B1G/ACC Challenge)
vs. OK State (US Bank Stadium)
Those are the highlights.
Thought you guys might appreciate Dakich getting his ass handed to him on Twitter by Gary Parrish. Great stuff.
LOVE hearing this. Archie doing Archie things. Looking forward to October when hopefully a few dominos fall our way!IU is getting Terrence Clarke on campus tomorrow for an unofficial visit. https://247sports.com/Player/Terrence-Clarke-46049162/
Always nice to get the #1 ranked recruit on campus, I do not think that has happened for IU since Derrick Rose.

I don’t see any ass being handed here. Parrish is a blowhard. Dakich is a blowhard. But Dakich is a blowhard with first hand knowledge of coaching and playing. Parrish is just a blowhard.Thought you guys might appreciate Dakich getting his ass handed to him on Twitter by Gary Parrish. Great stuff.
Two things that aren't prerequisites for knowing something about basketball.I don’t see any ass being handed here. Parrish is a blowhard. Dakich is a blowhard. But Dakich is a blowhard with first hand knowledge of coaching and playing. Parrish is just a blowhard.

Knowing “something” is a low bar. When it comes to basketball Parrish knows quite a bit. Dakitch knows quite a bit more. I know something about the theory of relativity. A professor of Quantum Mechanics knows more. Two things that aren't prerequisites for knowing something about basketball.
Lol Dakich is a moron. That guy knew the bare minimum to call himself a coach.Knowing “something” is a low bar. When it comes to basketball Parrish knows quite a bit. Dakitch knows quite a bit more. I know something about the theory of relativity. A professor of Quantum Mechanics knows more.
I don't know how to attach whole convo, but this reminds me of a Twitter discussion last season. Dakich says Miles Bridges has "no game."
Jeff Goodman responds: Averaging 18 and 7.2. Not sure I'd call that "no game"
Dakich: Please tell me you are kidding? Of course you wouldn't. Those that know know
Goodman: If 18 ppg and 7.2 rpg are "no game" what does that make 1.6 ppg and 1.1 rpg? lol
Dakich: Who's that?
Goodman: Your sophomore year stats
i actually dont mind him on the games. on halftime shows, he also talks up big ten quite a bit when others do not. gives big ten good publicity.I started to listen to Dans radio show on day 1 back like in 2011 I think. I probably stopped around 2015. It was amazing to see his transition to shock jock.
Love that gif
Totally agree. I actually like him on games. I think hes pretty fair on praise/criticism of players, coaches, team, etc. I’d take him over guy like Vitale and the others any day of the week. I do really enjoy Jay Williams, too.i actually dont mind him on the games. on halftime shows, he also talks up big ten quite a bit when others do not. gives big ten good publicity.
