Brownstown Central, and oh I guarantee a lot more high school teams from Indiana could.
I attended USI. Pearl was the HC. Really built that program into a power. They were runner-up and champioms, two of three years I was there. Have always been really good. Have had some bumps here and there. And not the Elite program they were. But still pretty damn good. Stan Guoard was a beast. Good friend. As was Chad Gilbert. Played against Chad in HS. As well as Neil Coyle. All were on that title team.

You're from Brownstown? Holy shit. I've worked a ton of Btown games; baseball and basketball. Hated to see Lawson leave. One of my fav HS baseball coaches. But you guys got a good one in Brandon. Benter is awesome man. I could tell you some stories.

Yeah man Benter is amazing dude, can’t imagine the b-ball program without him. Everyone kind of felt like Lawson was holding the baseball program back a bit but I do like him as a person.
You probably even reffed b-ball games I played in lol graduated in 2011. But yeah man I’m proud of what little btown can accomplish year to year in sports for how little the town is.
Seriously? I went to school close to there. Have lots of friends/family in Brownstown. I’d venture to say we know a lot of the same people.
No. Bloomington. But have tons of friends and family there. Used to spend a lot of time on the lake there.
Oh yeah if you’re talking about the lake and forest club in btown, I’ve been there a lot as well. My great grandma had a house there actually.
Had a game at Brownstown, vs Orleans. Been about 4-5 years ago. Maybe longer. Anyways, Orleans was, as usual, really good. Fantastic game. Early in 2nd quarter, ball goes OOB. BANG, BANG. I give the ball to Orleans. Benter is like, "c'mon (my name), your too good to miss that!!!!". I was like, Dave, shoes are all the same damn color, man. Tough to tell. He calls a TO. Break the huddle, and the 5 he sends out, all have white tape on the toes.Laughing I just laughed. Dave says, "Hey...Just trying to help you out".
One of my favorite coaches. Very respectful. But if you are new? He'll go after ya. I liked Lawson. Had some.good teams. And man you guys played in a tough, ass sectional. I think Brandon will do.an excellent job.
And yes, I'm 100% positive I worked a few of your games. I've called a ton of them; DeArk hires my crew every year.
Yup. Same. Grandparents house then they gave it to my dad and his siblings. Love that place.
Good program. Worked their games as well. North also; though North has been down. I've had South in the regional and semi-state. Worked a handful.of reg. season games. Holmes in honery,man. But damn he can coach.
That would be an amazing get for you all if he picks Purdue! Whose the perceived leader for him?
He's a teenager so you never know but supposedly Purdue and Oregon with MSU of course coming on and Oklahoma not out of it.

I don’t see any ass being handed here. Parrish is a blowhard. Dakich is a blowhard. But Dakich is a blowhard with first hand knowledge of coaching and playing. Parrish is just a blowhard.
Two things that aren't prerequisites for knowing something about basketball.
Yup, a perfect example is Tom Crean. ....he never played, but turned out to be an amazing basketball mind and a top notch coach.......
Knowing “something” is a low bar. When it comes to basketball Parrish knows quite a bit. Dakitch knows quite a bit more. I know something about the theory of relativity. A professor of Quantum Mechanics knows more.
Lol Dakich is a moron. That guy knew the bare minimum to call himself a coach.
People that think you need to have done something to be an expert in it prove their intellect in that sentence alone. Dakich proves it each time he speaks.

Gary made a good point about Q1 games, Seth Greenberg made a comment that is prob also true. Gary responded, and then Dan Doucheich, butted himself in, added absolutely no useable intelligence into yet another cbb related discussion/thread/topic, giving people more evidence of his snob self. Dude can't help himself. That's why I follow.

I started to listen to Dans radio show on day 1 back like in 2011 I think. I probably stopped around 2015. It was amazing to see his transition to shock jock.

i actually dont mind him on the games. on halftime shows, he also talks up big ten quite a bit when others do not. gives big ten good publicity.
Totally agree. I actually like him on games. I think hes pretty fair on praise/criticism of players, coaches, team, etc. I’d take him over guy like Vitale and the others any day of the week. I do really enjoy Jay Williams, too.
Agree I enjoy his broadcasts except when he is talking shit about Archie or an injured player (Davis)
His radio show during basketball season is solid because he gets great guests any other time of the year he’s awful.
