who tf uses ESPN rankings?
quite a few do as it is the largest group of evaluators that go to all the opens elite 11 camps as well as the Under Armour camps. plus they are not as biased vs the small market states or non blue blood schools.
lets look at Uthoffwho tf uses ESPN rankings?
Any MSU or Michigan guys know anything about Myron Gardner out of Detroit? We just offered him a couple days ago. Looks like a great athlete, but rivals and 247 don't even have him ranked antwhere.
Pretty talented. The issue is, he’s a 6’6 PF who can’t shoot extremely well, and isn’t elite defensively.Any MSU or Michigan guys know anything about Myron Gardner out of Detroit? Yeah, I was looking at his numbers in the EYBL and they look pretty good.Hadn't heard of him but he reminds me of Dawson. 6'6" PF that is very strong, but needs to develop his shot. Loyola is a Catholic HS so the competition isn't the best, at least in catholic league.
Looks like he's had some big games for The Family AAU lately, as well.
If you aren't using 247 composite, you're doing it wrong. Easily the best rankings out there.lets look at Uthoff
3* by Rivals 4* top 100 4* ended up a 1st Team all BT, 2nd team AA
Jordan 4* by ESPN 3* by Rivals and this is what he has done
FR 170+ assists and 80+ made 3's just 1 of 2 PG's in the previous 25 years to accomplish
SO on a injured foot 170+ assists and 80+ made 3's the only Player to post back to back seasons of 170 +assists and 80+ made 3's in the last 25 years.
now who screwed the pooch on their rankings there are other examples for FB and BB.
since they bought out Scout they have turned into the worst service out there,If you aren't using 247 composite, you're doing it wrong. Easily the best rankings out there.
Everyone > IowaMichigan > Iowa
MSU/MU guys, piggy backing on deaths post. What about Lorne Bowman? We seem to be tracking him. Not sure if we’ll offer.
Who? Sounds like a track and field coach.
Question Purdue fans...how is this kid anything like Caleb Swanigan?

I didn’t get that either.
I used to be a track and field coach. Eff that guy.Who? Sounds like a track and field coach.
Yeah, that is a stupid ****ing comp.Question Purdue fans...how is this kid anything like Caleb Swanigan?

Yeah, that is a stupid ****ing comp.
On a side note, Minnesota is pumping out alot of top 100 bigs over the next 3 years.

Don’t know much about him but read in another article where Bossi said Carlson may not quite be a high level athlete but he’s strong, tough, and skilled for a 6’9 power forward. That sounds Swanigan-esque to me but I’ve never even seen a video of the kid so I personally have no idea.Question Purdue fans...how is this kid anything like Caleb Swanigan?

Swanigan’s size height-wise. Can spread the floor with his jump shot and has good vision for a big man. Don’t see how that’s a big deal making that comp. Their games can be similar in some facets even though they have different body types lol.Question Purdue fans...how is this kid anything like Caleb Swanigan?

Beats the hell out of a Hummel comparison with both being tall white dudes.Question Purdue fans...how is this kid anything like Caleb Swanigan?

in FB last season every Iowa player that was ranked a 4* was dropped to a 3*, and yet these were 4*'s by Rivals and ESPN
QB Petras
DE Waggoner
DB Brents
DB Cradieth
and according to your precious composite they were all 3* Players now how does 4* players by 2 site = a composite of a 3* ranking?
Many times, many days. I wish I could be this narrow-minded. It has to be a good get away from reality.
Gil and reality makes me chuckle. Don’t know why.
Any hope at all of landing Jalen Johnson?Top 100? Pfft. WI has multiple top 10.
And we won’t get any of them, so we got that going for us. We’ll just have to get some from Minnesota I guess.
Clearly more of s D. Wade type of player.Question Purdue fans...how is this kid anything like Caleb Swanigan?

Seems like Painter is desperate. Apparently he’s telling everyone they’re like Caleb Swanigan. Hell, he could tell some of the cheerleaders at Purdue the same thing.Question Purdue fans...how is this kid anything like Caleb Swanigan?

Good point. Neubert made the comp for Franklin with his mid-range game and positional versatility in the backcourt, but that's not a name I see in many recruiting articles from the staff making that comparison to recruits.I don’t understand why Painter doesn’t shoot for comparing players to the one player that has actually been successful in the NBA. Etwaun.

That team will be interesting. Really like Randle and Davis as a front-court pairing and Holiday is consistently underrated. But, they're in the west. Was a big big fan Etwaun. He has made a nice career in the league. I’ll probably check out more games with Troy joining the Pelicans

On an unrelated note, this may be the first year I pull the trigger on League Pass. As much as I love Quinn's attempts at describing what he's watching in between Kinetico commercials, I really want to watch some of those teams out west on a nightly basis.
Haha, I've always wondered what the tradeoff would be to get football on Saturday and Sunday mornings but get crunched on those early afternoon tips for basketball. But it sounds like you've got it figured out.Absolutely. It’s some fantastic basketball. I get every GS game currently but wouldn’t mind potentially forking out the cash for the pass for Pacers. My buddy and I are working on a deal at a sports bar downtown where we get dollar beers during Pacers and Hoosier games. Most games start at 4:00 be home by 7 wife doesn’t get pissed. We all win.
