*Official* B1G In-Season Thread

I was solely talking about the makeup call of the last play in both games. Purdue benefited from one of the blown calls and got screwed by the other. Not sure why the other guy took issue with that.
IMO, it’s silly to focus on a single call regardless of when it occurs. I feel the same about tonight.

Ugly loss for sure. Frankly surprised it was a one possession game.

9-18 from the line is pitiful. Our true freshmen looked like freshmen. And Carsen couldn’t buy a bucket.

Hope that was the one we needed to get out of our system. 13-1 in our previous 14...I’d say we were due for a loss.

Yep. Played like crap and still had a chance to win against a team desperate for a tournament berth. This loss doesn’t surprise me at all. Losing to NW? Absolutely that would suck.

What happened to Trevion anyways? Terrible.

Freshman wall perhaps. He had strep throat a few weeks back and hasn’t been the same since. Not saying it’s 100% due to that but maybe it’s just hitting that freshman wall. Need him to be a lot better than what we saw tonight.

Yep. Really weird. He was a really important piece of our resurgence and gave us a post presence that helped balance the offense.

Feel like Purdue needs him to make a run and he has not been good.

Yuck, good win Gophers, that was ugly. The most painful thing to watch was the slow drip of the missed FTs throughout the entire game knowing full well that it would likely lead to a sure loss.

Probably read too much of his own greatness.
Twin towers. LMAO.
He does post a lot of quotes about him on Instagram. Of course, if people were talking me up at 18 or 19, I probably would have too.

I mean it’d be nice but he’s still a freshman so there’s no telling what to expect from him moving forward. We’ve seen some really good basketball and some pretty awful as well. Who knows what to expect from him the rest of the year.

That almost certainly just killed our shot at a 2 seed as well. So Michigan and Sparty should be doubly happy.

Purdue shoots free throws like we do.

Gotta give props to the big Norwegian tonight. Gave us some good minutes of the bench. I was almost certain we were going to blow it down the stretch though.

Where were you hiding him? All season, I thought the contest for ugliest dude in the Big Ten was between Iggy, Haarms, Simpson and McQuaid but damn, that dude didn’t even have a face (and haircut) that a mother could love.

Matt Painter basically just said Purdue cant win with Carsen making poor decisions. He noted Grady getting 13 points and 14 rebounds and Cline going 6 of 9 from 3. Felt very much like he was saying Carsen going 7 of 31 is costing this team because he kept reiterating decision making and that seems very Carsenesque.

He's not wrong. The other glaring issue we had this game was there were a lot of careless passes. There's plenty to clean up before the B10 tourney.

Michigan hasn’t lost to a big ten team on a neutral court since 2016. A third straight big ten tournament championship would be tough but getting that 1 seed would be helpful

He's not wrong. Haarms and Carsen were brutal. The other three starters were playing at an incredibly high level offensively. But them's the breaks, I guess.

Talking about FTs, the missed FTs by PJ Thompson that would have iced the game and prevented OT still hurts. Probably cost Purdue a seed line that year.
