*Official* B1G In-Season Thread

Unfortunately they dont keep dunk/missed dunk stats. I'm sure the Purdue fans will admit that he has missed A LOT of dunks the last two years. Easily over 10.

So missed dunk equals unathletic? Lol. Sure he’s missed some but that doesn’t mean he’s unathletic.

Weird the Purdue fans disappeared. Maybe if we bring up football again, they'll show back up pounding their chests. LOL!

Yep and you’ll act like we think we’re Bama for being optimistic for next year. I think Purdue can win 8 games next year in football by the way.

Michigan stopped recruiting him once treed visited Michigan Laughing.

Apparently treed tried calling and committing to Michigan herself (not her son) whatever that means.

She was someone that was known throughout the recruiting world that is for sure. I am sure she was a major reason or maybe the only reason he put his name in the draft. She has done much more harm to his basketball career than helped. Now saying he doesn't love the game, that is her doing.

Can you post a link to Carsen's 48" vertical? What about 45" vertical? Those were Smith and Langford's verticals from this summer.
Well they both would have beaten everyone at the nba draft combine by 3 inches then. Not saying that isn’t true but seems inflated to me. Also 2 inches higher than Vince Carter in his prime, impressive.

Its been discussed it was running start compared to NBA testing is one step jump.

Lol. Carsen Edwards says hello.
Langford and Smith are elite athletes. (that's why they will most likely go higher in the draft)

Carsen is a good athlete and a great player. In terms of pure athleticism they have him beat, no question. My argument was (in terms of athleticism)

Phinisee>Eastern
Green<Carsen (and in terms of quickness I'm not so sure about this, Carsen is just a bulldog getting to the rim).
Langford>Cline
Smith>Eifert
Morgan>Haarms

Wheeler might deserve to be included but I haven't seen him play enough to tell.

There is a clear difference in athleticism now and going forward. (wait until Jerome Hunter gets healthy)

Will you at least admit there's an athleticism/talent difference between Purdue and most of conference? I know you've cited problems with Matt's recruiting in the past.

Oh there’s absolutely a difference. I don’t think it’s always athleticism though. Last year’s Purdue team was really good but lacked top-end athleticism.

Yeah it's not all athleticism it's a combination of both.

Williams and Wheeler should be playing more with how much the team is struggling. There's literally no reason Eifert and Eastern should be starting, they don't bring anything and I would argue Williams might be a better player than Haarms(outside of the hair).

Being an athlete is more then jumping ability. Carsen has no problem dunking at his size. He also has better speed then either of those players. He's also very strong for size compared to either of those players too. And aaron Wheeler is way more of an athlete then langford.

Sad thing is too it will probably work out okay because it's against a freakin MAC team and we'll see this lineup next time out too. Just do not understand why Painter insists on sticking with Grady Eifert.
Williams and Wheeler have both looked decent when I've watched them, I don't know why he doesn't give them more minutes. At the very least he would be building a core for the next few years.

Romeo GLIDES to the basket-it almost looks effortless. And his "second jump" is rapidly becoming one of the best in the League...Wheeler is athletic compared to the rest of the PU roster, but Romeo is an elite level athlete...
