****Official B1G In-Season Thread****

Anything that makes you feel better bro. Purdue power rated higher, won the head to head, etc. but you keep putting Illinois on another imaginary tier in the west lmao
Illinois has lost our 4 games by 2, 3,
7, and 8. With 3 very questionable calls costing Illinois points.

Purdue has lost by 4, 3, 11, and 21. With one questionable call in the Penn St if I remember correctly.

We are rated higher by AP, coaches, and likely CFP. But it’s good that you have the power rankings😂

The quicker you realize you suck along with the rest of the west the better off you’ll be.

Sorry bud, it’s just not the case.

We are gonna likely be 8-4 in year 2 of BB.

Just like I said in the off-season, if BB can recruit here, we’ll be Wisconsin 2.0.

Wisconsin sucks too, congrats. & Purdue was just 9-4 last year and will likely be 8-4 again this year. But we still suck. Sorry bud; welcome to suck-town.

I’m talking Wisconsin when BB was there, not this shit show.

Or did Wisconsin suck then too?

Yup if those two games happen a close loser next week should get in IMO.
As long as it’s close.

TCU losing the championship game might guarantee it regardless though.

Also gotta hope LSU doesn’t beat Georgia.

SEC gets 2 in if that’s the case.

Probably which is dumb. Their blowout loss to Tennessee looks even worse now and they also lost to Florida State. These SEC teams are being exposed. Ole Miss got wrecked too.

Thought the replay showed he wasn’t definitively offsides and the announcers said as much?

He pretty clearly was in the neutral zone on the snap. The rules guy just said the refs must not have thought he was offsides enough. That doesn’t mean they got it right.

Which player?

Not that play. The play where JJ got Illinois to jump and took a shot to the end zone on 4th down because he thought he had a free play.

Refs blow calls like that both ways throughout the game. I just find it hilarious you guys come here and blame the refs after every loss like Illinois is never the benefactor of bad calls and they’d be undefeated if it wasn’t for refs.

Dawg, Michigan won the game. It’s over. You gonna let his original comment continue to work you up until 2AM?

Enjoy the victory because there is a chance it might be the last one of the season.

Maybe Bert can get Illinois to 11 wins someday. Probably not if he has to keep playing East teams. 0-3?

Bert has 3 11 win seasons in the B1G, last I checked Michigan, Indiana and Michigan St were in the conference then too. Same amount of 11 win seasons as Harbaugh.

How about the catch? JJ being down? Lol Why have replay if you can’t get tho$$$e right.

The offsides was close and probably should’ve drawn a flag but the wr still could’ve scored.

Pretty clear the B1G wanted two teams undefeated going in to next week.

But BB didn’t try to win again and wanted to Michigan waste timeouts. Dumb strategy Illinois deserved to lose by not trying to win.

What catch? JJ wasn’t down. How about the other DPI’s Witherspoon got away with?

Lol. “The refs wanted us to lose!”

That’s the third time this year you guys lost because of the refs.

This is always one of the dumbest things I read. There is no conspiracy between the conference and the officials. If there were, we'd know it in this day and age.

How does this make it thru replay…

Again I think Illinois deserved to lose by not trying to win. BUT that and JJ being down made it through replay is comical

Oh, I think refs are just inconsistent. It's a much more difficult job than fans acknowledge. And fans have a tendency to only notice/remember the calls that go against their team and not the ones they benefit from. I bet if we sat down and watched that game together, I could come up with dozens of penalties not called on Illinois that should have been and other "mistakes" by the refs.

Yup that’s why holding and pi it is what it is. But plays that get reviewed zero excuse

What about the drive before for Illinois?

We called a timeout going into 3rd down.

Illinois gets called for holding on 3rd down.

For some reason the clock starts when you line back up after being moved back.

You guys cry about this stuff every loss.

Illinois fans, what were your thoughts on 4th down offsides that wasn’t called?
The announcers didn’t think he was offsides and the retired official spoke on the broadcast and said that he didn’t think he was offsides. Was he offsides? IMO, maybe.
