Purdue has 4 experienced starters coming off the bench - Williams, Newman, Gillis and Hunter. It’s kind of surreal as a Purdue fan. An honorable mention All American coming off the bench!?!? WTF? Life is good.
Possible....But I think Illinois/Michigan have the pieces for deep runs....Others like you guys, Indiana, OSU have SW 16 ability. I think the conference is really good. Just remember, Purdue returns everyone...Others are replacing parts, with either transfers/freshman. As the season goes, those teams will get better. Hell even though we lost, I like what I saw. Didn't quit. Hell, we had 27 fukin turnovers, and still damn near won...Had some guys show out(Kopp especially)...Lander looked solid with extended minutes....Stewart shot it really well. I have no doubt we are better than Cuse----just cannot come out in the 1st half, turn it over 16 times, allow them to get wide open three's, and shoot 61%. I mean were down 18 in the second half----And was up 4, in double OT---just missed some BIG FT's, and had a couple of bad turnovers.
Big 10 is gonna be just fine, IMO.

Its crazy....Purdue certainly class of the conference---right now. But we all know how conference play can go. Teams know one another, etc, etc...And I think Purdue playing as they have, kind of has made the rest look, well, meh. I don't think that is the case...Illinois has a ton of talent---just haven't gelled..Injuries, suspension, etc, etc....Wisky beat a very good Houston team...Michigan has great talent, its just young---plus one of the top 3 centers in the league...A super frosh(Houstan), who's struggling...OSU some early hiccups....But they too have the talent...SO does MSU....I like my Hoosiers. We battled tonight....If we had 27 turnovers in a game last year, we would have lost by 40. MSU is better than what others think....
Big 10 is going to be a monster.

It could all fall apart - but I’m and old and seen a lot - Never seen a Purdue team with this depth and chemistry. Could all fall apart but I’m not seeing it - really great attitudes by guys who could be me me me. Will other teams get better yeah. So will these guys. Just enjoying it right now- no offense intended except toward Trojan who is a clown.
Nah, the outcome would be the same. Ohio State whistles keeping them kinda in this game.

No, no----I wasn't implying PU would fall apart----just that conference play is a different animal. ZTeams are familiar with you. Understand your sets....what you like to do, etc, etc...I 100% expect PU to win the B10. My whole point is, the B10 is a tough ass conference.
Meant I’m at Ohio State Duke right now, more Duke fans than I expected ..
We travel well, I almost bought tickets but they were overpriced and it was too late of a start. I'm an hour and a half from Columbus.
I think it’s less that you travel well and more that you just have fans everywhere.
Speaking of traveling well, Indianapolis is going to be like 80% Michigan fans. The tickets I bought for $370 on Saturday are up to $800 each. Crazy crazy.

1980 - lost to UCLA in FF semi. UCLA later vacated win because - - surprise —- they cheated.
1988 - three amigos puke on themselves to Mitch Richmonds KSU team in the Silverdome
1994 - Big Dog hurts back loses to Duke- the most dominant scorer I can recall in CBB. Duke really good but Robinson was clearly hurt that game.
2009 - Hummel blows knee.
2017? - Haas blows elbow on a now illegal move.
2019 - ****ing Virginia was blessed by god.
With all that heartache I will say this is the most complete Purdue team in my lifetime. Could happen - could unravel.
Have I mentioned that Syracuse is also one of my favorite teams? I’ve been following them for tens of minutes. Big win for us tonight.

1988 team you mentioned----that team was really, really good. Only lost two games in a very good B10. Still stunned they lost to KSU.
1994---Big Dog is healthy, PU goes to the FF.
IMO, those two, and maybe the Hummel team(s).
But no doubt, this is a veery good team---Probably Matt's best.

Cmore for as bad as we were, I'm not mad, TBH. SHowed some guts. Down 18, on the road, to a team shooting 61%, with 17 turnovers.....To have a chance to win it in regulation? LIke d that. Gotta clean up the damn turnovers.
