Roll Tide!
Yeah me too! Roll Tide. I grew up in the same country that Alabama is in. But I only root for them in football.

also a big Patriots fan when Brady was there - I have an uncle named Tom

and Cubs fan that one year…I’ve visited Chicago.

Oh - and the 60’s Packers and 70’s Steelers. Because #winners

😂

Saw ESPN dropped a new mock draft and it reminded me how a certain poster ITT argued this offseason that Jaden Ivey didn't have elite athleticism.

Gave me a chuckle.
Caleb Houstan already down from a Top 5 pick to the last pick in the lottery.

Surprise surprise

Meh just your average good college athlete nothing more. Certainly no Zion.

"Ha - I win because my bad take was so memorable, I'm getting laughed at."

Just a school shooting in Oxford Michigan. It’s less than 30 minutes from my sons highschool. Scary stuff. A few kids dead.

Standing over 6-4 with a near 6-10 wingspan, Ivey has a combination of speed, power and explosiveness that is rarely seen at the college level, making him one of the most physically gifted prospects in the draft.

Damn. Not good.

Hopefully the news doesn't let politics dictate their coverage of this like they did with the Waukesha attack.

Tucker over Harbaugh for conference COTY is interesting
I may be biased but I agree with it. Harbaugh has had an amazing year no doubt, but UM is far from a bare cabinet. MSU was projected to finish 7th out of 7 in the East to start the season and he finished 10-2.

Harbaugh took a team that wasn’t in the preseason top 25 to 11-1, the Big Ten championship game, and probably the college football playoffs. His only loss was a 4 point road loss to a 10-2 top 15 team.

It’s similar to Howard winning COTY when Few was obviously more successful.

I think 10-2 with MSU’s roster is more impressive coaching job than 11-1 with Michigan’s if we’re talking purely in game coaching. There is a reason we were picked last in the East on media day.

How? Gonzaga was the preseason #1 team in the country. Michigan wasn’t unranked.
Few had an undefeated team. What else can you do? Howard won because he had a really good team that exceeded expectations. Tucker was the latter, so you want it both ways?

I don’t disagree the Few was also deserving. But the comparisons aren’t remotely similar. Again, Gonzaga was expected to be elite and was elite. Harbaugh took an unranked Michigan team to probably the CFP playoffs.

Harbaugh is closer to Tucker’s situation than he is to Few’s situation.

There’s a reason we were unranked headed into the season. Now we are a win over Iowa away from making the CFP Playoffs.

I disagree with that last line. Michigan’s roster is talented. The reason people weren’t high on them is because Harbaugh has underachieved more than not. He had a good year, but I don’t see how anyone is more deserving than Tucker this year. Harbaugh is 2nd, imo.

It’s personal preference, I don’t think you’re wrong for picking Harbaugh but I also think it’s silly to shit on the Tucker pick. Michigan was borderline top 25, projected with 7.5-8.5 wins headed into the year and went 11-1. MSU was projected the worst team in our division and one of the worst in conference and we went 10-2. Both are really impressive.

@CardinalBoiler put it well though, it’s about who exceeded expectations the most not who won the most. If we are using basic math, Tucker outperformed his preseason win total expectations by the most and that’s why he won it.

The fact is Harbaugh took an unranked Michigan team to #2 or 3 in the country right now and is a win over Iowa away from a CFP playoff appearance. That’s mightily impressive.

Example 4,275 why it should be called "Coach Whose-Team-Most-Exceeded-Preseason-Expectatations of the Year"
I've always thought there's some autofellatio going on there by sports media.

"Wow this guy must've really coached his ass off, since we - the all-knowing media who is never wrong - somehow didn't anticipate this team being good at all."
