Can you read? That’s been very clear. I also didn’t grow up a fan of the ND women’s tennis team.
So you only chose to root for the teams that were good?

Greatttttt comeback! Again, they’re better than IU in both sports, so not sure what ground you’re standing on.Your sports teams are sh*t.
I chose to root for the team I spent my childhood attending every game. I've been to 1 ND basketball home game ever. I've been to 50+ ND football games. So you only chose to root for the teams that were good?

My sports teams are not shit.Your sports teams are sh*t.
Because my parents only took me to 1? If the answer you are looking for is that we went to many IU basketball games, you would be absolutely wrong. Growing up Butler games were by far the most attended as we generally knew someone on the team given NC's pipeline there. Why do you think you only went to 1 basketball game?
Cool, congrats. Why do you care so much?My sports teams are not shit.
My Mississippi State Bulldogs had a good year last year.
Ive been a Baylor Basketball fan for quite some time. My boy Drew is killing it.
The cross country team from Northern Arizona might be my favorite team of all of my teams. I ran once, so it’s in my blood.
My Minutemen own the ice.
Because it gets cold inside in Illinois, I once decided to run indoors. I fell in love with the sport and my Oregon Ducks.
I watched Virginia win the national title last year. I’ve fallen in love with that team ever since.

So why did you retain your ND football allegiance but not your Butler basketball allegiance?Because my parents only took me to 1? Because while we we went to a lot of Butler games, I wasn't a big basketball fan at the time. Any more questions? I can tell you are really interested, so I want to make sure I get to all your questions. So why did you retain your ND football allegiance but not your Butler basketball allegiance?
Look, Trojan, if you were usually a pretty chill guy who wasn't constantly talking shlt to other fan bases, I wouldn't have anything to say. People should cheer for the teams they want to cheer for, especially when there is a lifelong connection. However, you constantly spit out trash-talking takes like, "Illini basketball is mediocre!"
Okay? Illinois has won the most games of their Big Ten peers over the past two seasons, they were a game away from a Big Ten championship last year, they were Big Ten Tournament champions, they nearly set an NCAA record for Quad 1 victories, they earned a #1 seed and until yesterday they had been in the AP top 25 for 635 straight days - a streak good enough for fifth longest in the nation. Yeah, they got upset in the Tournament ... happens a lot over the years to many great teams and programs. If you can so confidently call Illinois "mediocre" over the last few seasons, it is because you are using some outdated standard based on your superiority complex as an IU fan that your own program literally hasn't lived up to for THREE DECADES. It just comes across as being a salty hater.
It would be a different story if you were also here to take your lumps and "take the good with the bad" of being an IU football fan, but nope! You just happen to root for a Blue Blood football program. And when said Blue Blood football program's basketball team loses? NO, you aren't a fan of that sport, so no one can talk smack about that to Trojan! If you can't see why it's a bad look for you after you usually enjoy talking down to other fan bases here, I don't know what to say. Lol. You realize that the fact that we still follow Illini football and followed Illini basketball when it was bad isn't, like, some kind of mark of embarrassment for us ... it means we are good and loyal fans. And true sports fans who have been through ups and downs - trash talk aside - respect that.
Glad you admit me liking both teams isn't a big deal and that the only reason you guys GAF is because I make you mad.Look, Trojan, if you were usually a pretty chill guy who wasn't constantly talking shlt to other fan bases, I wouldn't have anything to say. So what is your standard for not being mediocre in basketball? You just keep repeating this same tired line, and (like I said) it comes across as you being a salty hater when you claim winning our conference tournament and getting a #1 seed is mediocre. It makes it look like you have a personal dislike for Illinois and are incapable of being objective. If Indiana had the last two seasons Illinois had had - even with a Tournament upset - you would not be professing how mediocre they are and would likely be unbearable. Hell, your current team is LITERALLY all conjecture and hype and undefeated with a hilariously weak schedule, and you aren't even acting like they are mediocre this season!Glad you admit me liking both teams isn't a big deal and that the only reason you guys GAF is because I make you mad.
Your basketball and football programs are mediocre. IU basketball has been mediocre for the last two decades as well. Notre Dame football is an obvious powerhouse and has been since before I was born.
I have been through the ups and downs with Notre Dame football and mostly downs with IU basketball. Yet here I am still a fan of both. That's loyalty. You don't think I've taken lumps with being an IU basketball fan? I know you are new here, but let me clue you in a bit. IU hasn't been good since 2016. I've been on this board since that time. You really think no one has called IU basketball bad in that time?
I only talk up IU football, because it pisses you Purdouches off. IDGAF about IU football. I never even talked about IU football until about two seasons ago, and the only reason I did it then is because of how insufferable you twats were about Brohm coming off those two 6-6 seasons.
No wonder he doesn’t care when IU football sucks because he can turn to ND football. And when IU football is surprisingly good? He’s here talking them up. Win/win!
Having sustained success (including March success) over a long period of time? IU has also been a #1 seed in the last decade, and you call IU mediocre. You can't have it both ways. Both programs have been mediocre. So what is your standard for not being mediocre in basketball? You just keep repeating this same tired line, and (like I said) it comes across as you being a salty hater when you claim winning our conference tournament and getting a #1 seed is mediocre. And no, I was not saying the only reason we "GAF" is because you "make us mad." Lol. I am saying no one would be giving you shlt for the teams you root for if you didn't generally behave like a douchebag.

Yes? Because it was another thing to rub in your face. Now you guys are creaming yourselves over something Allen accomplished 2 years ago.So you only brought up IU football when they were actually decent lol. Shocker.
People just throwing shade at Trojan. No one actually views Gonzaga differently based on last night, at least they shouldn’t anyway. So what are we saying here? That Gonzaga isn’t actually good because they played close in a clear let down game in which the likely NPOY took 2 shots? That’s rational.

Allen beat two top 5 teams and went 6-3 in conference?
Damn, now that you have admitted that a defeat is possible we con no longer give you shit about possible said defeat.Just wanted to be proactive and admit to this consortium of learned doctors that my Purdue inferiority complex has me worried about tonight's game - even though FSU is down three rotation players and Purdue has looked awesome so far.
He went 8-5 and 5-4 in conference.Allen beat two top 5 teams and went 6-3 in conference?
Lol at considering Iowa a top 5 team

The irony in this sentence is so thick, @bMORE607 is trying to fvck it.IU has also been a #1 seed in the last decade, and you call IU mediocre.
Both IU’s and Illinois’ basketball programs have been mediocre the last decade. Both currently find themselves not ranked right now, which makes both teams currently mediocre. The irony in this sentence is so thick, @bMORE607 is trying to fvck it.
The FSU/Purdue game tonight has definitely lost some of it’s appeal but I’m damn excited to be back in Mackey for the first time in a long while. Many beers will be deleted.

🗑Good or bad, the last three pages was the epitome of what this thread is all about. Bravo.
Great choice of Jags over Packers man… because colorsThis is such a dumb argument. Who gives a flip?
I started liking the Jaguars when I was 6 because I liked their colors and was tired of having to pick between Lions and Packers.
I liked the Mariners as a kid because of Griffey. When I got older I started liking the Tigers but since I moved to Milwaukee I also cheer for the Brewers because we go to a lot of games.
I don’t care if people find any of that weird.
