You can't hide behind Wisconsin, you backwoods pig fvcker

Please don't fvck up tonight. Want that 10 seed
I'll be about done if we can't put away PSU at home, lol ... will speak to a total lack of focus with so much on the line. Illinois is kind of flying under the radar in this respect, but we were a 3-seed in the Committee's preview they released, and since then we have played 3 Quad 1 games and gone 2-1 in them. It's overshadowed by our drop in the polls from losing to OSU at home, but we are still absolutely in 3-seed territory and a BTT run could flirt with a 2. If we aren't focused, I'll move on mentally to silly season.

Worst thing about being in this cluster **** in the middle of the conference is I don’t know when I need to try and take work off.

Haha, I know ... SO much is in the air for the BTT right now. I'll be in San Diego for a bachelor party (so on PST), and the difference between Illinois playing at like 8:30 am local time or in the afternoon local time is kind of huge for planning out the day! I'll be there with some Iowa fans, so I low-key hope that Illinois and Iowa meet in the BTT again so everyone will be on the same page of wanting to watch.

The (very small) silver lining of losing the B1G and being locked into the 2/3 seeds is I know Purdue will play Friday night instead of Friday day.

Tough call. I'll say the over with three. Two of the top three and one surprise like an tOSU or Rutgers.

Also, took IL to win the B10 tourney @ +350.
When one accounts for an absolutely abysmal stretch under Groce and the rebuilding Underwood years where we went 3-6 overall and lost in the First Round a ton, Illinois has done absurdly well in the BTT for some reason. We probably have the third best overall "home court" advantage from site to site after Indiana and Purdue, considering it is usually in Indy or Chicago.

I think PU wins the B10 tourney.
I like your style of always tempering expectations for your own team, but I feel fairly optimistic about us. We historically perform well there, and I think we will FINALLY be totally healthy going into that stretch. Not saying we'll win it, necessarily, but I like our odds vs. any other one team in the field this year.

I think the 2000-2001 Duke team beat Maryland 4 times. Fvck those ***s
That NC game's on the 'U' right now. Damn I forgot how much talent was in this between 'Zona & Duke!?
Battier, Boozer, Jay Williams, Dunleavy---> 3 of those guys played in the League forever, & of course the 4th would have if not for injury.

Arenas, Richard Jefferson & of course Mike f'ing Madsen. Lol. Guy 'd go on to win multiple Championships w/ the Lakers, carrying on in a similar role to what he played at UA, haha..., iirc a goon/enforcer type.

In classic Illini fashion I will blame the refs ... but holy SHIT did Illinois get hosed in the Elite Eight vs. Arizona that year, lol. We had already split 1-1 in the regular season, and during that game the fouls were 36-23 in favor of Arizona, with SIX Illini players fouling out. It was made a bit more infamous because Lute Olson like publicly declared he thought Big Ten teams mugged each other and he was worried about making sure the refs called enough fouls on Illinois' defense, and it was absolutely unbearable because Bill Walton called the game and his son was on Arizona, lmao. Lost by six.

Could see Michigan or Rutgers make a sweet16. Everyone else has a chance except for OSU they seem to be broken. I'll say at least 4 make it.
