Fail....Liddell jumped straight up---No "A" to "B". He planted at the top of the arc---jumped staright up and landed precisely in the same spot----Fraziers momentum led him INTO Liddell.

240 vs 170 is gonna win....
He landed in the same spot because he hit Frazier lol

I really hope you don’t call games like this for kids…. Jeez

Which is why it’s so weird for anyone here to bring up Loyola as if it curses Illinois to eternally lose in the Second Round, haha … if there’s one thing most of this thread can bond on, it’s not getting past the Second Round last year.
Some don’t have that issue this century.

You can literally see Liddell’s momentum going from right to left and then it stops in air. I only have a physics major, but I’m pretty sure air resistance doesn’t slow you down that much.

Michigan did… but they don’t have a ton of room to shit talk.

Hopefully we don’t give them ammo this weekend lol

How many examples can you find of bullshit transitive property stuff in the Big Ten this year? We beat Wisconsin comfortably, they beat Purdue, Purdue beat us twice, etc. If you can’t talk smack to a team you beat in their gym and have beat four straight times, shit talking is all meaningless. ;)

I don't call many Illinois games----so no, I don't.

DOn't be pissed at me becasuse, A) YOu fell behind by 200 points at home, B) let a freshman torch you for 31, C) Your coach getting a terrible technical, and D) You not understanding the rule of verticality...

Great game-----that call didn't beat you....Branham did.

I think Illinois lacks leadership. I think Kofi is kinda their leader, but he isn't a go to player when it's close and late.

You feed him from start to finish and hope you have a comfy lead. If not, he is basically no good in late game situations

Pretty sure you can see where Frazier and his momentum led him into Liddell....

I agree with the no call. Wouldn't have called it either.

Listen man, the middle of the game was bad for the Illini.

But regardless, you are defending a terrible call.

I understand the rule fine, and watched how they called fouls all night. That was a foul by both standards.

Just a weird hill to die on

If that’s a foul Illinois should have had 200 tonight.

The rule of verticality doesn’t apply to someone initiating contact with their body. He jumps from directly in front of the rim and lands on the side of the rim after making contact with someone pushing him back towards the rim.

Especially when his intent was to get a bail out call. It was a bad decision on his part

If they are calling that foul, the game would still be going on. Illinois fouled OSU 3-4 times each trip down the court during their comeback.
