Defense will be there downfall come tourney time. It’s worse than Iowa! Didn’t realize it was that bad. Offense is legit.
Offense is currently 3rd highest rated offense in Kenpom era (going back to 2002) behind ‘18 Nova & ‘15 Wisconsin. Defense seems to be a Jekyll & Hyde thing at times.

Also think they’re willing to let some guys burn them from the perimeter as a strategy going into some games and living with the consequences like Dickinson hitting 6 threes or whatever it was against them. It just seems like some of these games the strategy has really backfired despite it being a solid strategy going into the game lol

I did not see a double digit win against Illinois, but I also didn't expect them to go ice cold shooting in the 2nd half either. GG Illini fans, I took your guys and the points (RIP my wallet)

In this post, we laugh at the failures of the Indiana Hoosiers.........

Just a reminder that you and the Illini need to stay in your lane, because it's the same one Iowa is in, lolol

There is Michigan, MSU, Indiana and even Wisconsin, puke, then everyone else in the Big 10. Don't fool yourselves.

I think you’re forgetting someone🤷‍♂️

Cool. You’ve over performed. Good for you. You can do the standard Gard early exit in the tournament with your single player carrying you.
It’s funny, because this could easily apply to Illinois.

Except Illinois has a 3 or 4 players that can carry them. Wisconsin has Johnny Davis. Illinois is vastly better with Kofi, but not completely dog shit. They’re head and shoulders better than Wisconsin. The matchup wasn’t even close.

Yup Davison and Wahl have never carried us. Carry on with more false narratives.

Bury your head in the sand some more. Wisconsin's 64th percentile offense and 55th percentile defense is mediocre. It's a statistically validated "narrative." Your narrative is "numbers are for nerds." Meanwhile, the entire basketball world is evolving because of the "nerd stats," and you're too simple to recognize it.

Let's break this down. You're good at two significant areas on offense PnR ball handler and transition. What makes you good there?

Johnny Davis

Brad Davison

No other players on your team provides a net positive to those categories. You take that away Davis from your team, and then your offense disappears. And then look at your defense. Not great, Bob.

Oh, wow. My narrative. It's like it's validated and justified in reality.

19-4 shoots a large hole in your narrative.

No, it doesn't. Without Davis, Wisconsin is a fringe tournament team.

19-4 with 15 single digit margins of victory (average of 5 points) with Davis not available in only 1 of those. His average points scored in those victories is 16 points above the margin of victory.

You're doing the Indiana point at the banner thing. It's about as potato of an argument as one can make. It's unnuanced, and based solely on your bias.

Do me a favor, direct me to your dealer. That's good shit he's got you on.

Why are you so worried about what we are without Davis? Can say the same things about Illinois without Kofi. But I don’t because it’s stupid. We have Davis you have Kofi.

Illinois has the oldest lineup in all of college basketball. Don't start anyone under the age of 22. It's not just that they have Kofi, it's that they've loaded up on an experience hack due to covid extra eligibility and it's been a major advantage for them. I would expect a drop next year when they lose all that experience. Great team this year though.

Uhhhhhh, maybe because the entire premise of what you were arguing against was "the narrative" that Wisconsin is as talented as Northwestern except with Davis. If you don't want to have that discussion, I don't know, maybe don't interject?

One of the few times Wisconsin isn't the oldest team in the B1G lol

Possibly off topic, but what team are you a fan of? You can usually pick up thru context clues who everyone roots for, but I’ve never been able to figure out which team you’re associated.

Dickinson averaging 21 8 and 3 and shooting 35% from three.

Since I don’t get to be right a lot this year, that convo about Dickinson‘s ceiling being capped coming into the year was really dumb.

Yes, yes, so was thinking Houstan looked legit after 2 games or that Brandon Johns was useful. I get it.

They’ll be fine if Kofi comes back. He can carry them most nights. If he leaves they lose almost every starter.

It’s a team game. We are never the most talented individually. That’s not some new revelation on your part. Outside of maybe a couple years our sum is always greater than the parts. You are just triggered beyond belief on it this year for some odd reason. Maybe it’s the 15-0 stretch or the 17 years of irrelevance. I’m not sure.

I kind of like that nobody really knows for sure. Allows me to join in on discussions randomly without being accused of being biased.
