Competing for titles past December each year, my bad I should’ve clarified.

I just want one fvcking good run. I would shit myself for a two weekend run. Basically a sweet 16 or elite 8.
God that would be fun.
When I was a kid it was normal and I took it for granted. When I was in my early 20s, we made a sweet 16 and I got it. And it was a blast, even though we lost to eventual champs Unconn in a tough game.
I’m 42. My first memories are the flyin illini. The late 90’s until 2006 were great. I thought that was what it was always going to be like. Then Weber buried the program and Groce dug us up and lit us on fire.
Yep. Same era. Alford and Lickliter burned our house to the ground. And Fran is pissing on the ashes, even though he gets us to the tourney. But under him, we won't get past the first weekend. We have topped out under him. Kinda like Weber and Illinois after that awesome run in 05. But Illinois had some good runs under Self, Henson, and Weber. I wish we did

2019 was fun, even though we lost in OT and didn't make the FF, it's still exciting making it to the elite eight. Everyone should experience that ride at least once in their lifetime, even Iowa fans
