“Dickinson is a finished product, unlike Edey”
What is wrong with that statement? Isn’t Dickinson 21 already? Edey has barely played organized basketball and he’s already a top 10 center in CBB.

“It happens man. Dickinson is a finished product,”

I feel like this has to be a calculated troll if you’re going to defend that as a fair take.
I wouldn’t say he’s a finished product but he’s probably not far from it. & there’s nothing wrong with that, he’s a damn great player.

Based on what? Him being a year old for his class?

How many Purdue bigs alone improved from sophomore to junior and then junior to senior years? It’s just a massive troll to act like a freshman is maxed in skill because he’s a year old for his class.

Purdue with 3 players with a double double tonight. When’s the last time that’s happened in college basketball?

It’s a valid excuse because it’s change the entire landscape of a team. It’s just funny because y’all spent the offseason (pre Kofi decision) saying you’d be a top 25 even without Kofi.
What makes you think we wouldn’t be? One bad game does not a team make.

Hunter Dickinson turned 20 last year, turns 21 this year. Can you guys tell me what Isaac Haas and AJ Hammons did in comparative seasons?

No, don’t really care about his age to be honest but sure, it’s a factor. It’s about his body frame & size and what he can get out of his athleticism. His game was polished when he came in as a freshman. He could improve his weak side post move but just not sure what else you can ask of him. He was already a good passer, he already had good touch, he was already a good rebounder, he was already a good FT shooter, he already had good post moves, he was already massive, etc. Could he extend his shooting range like Hammons did? Sure. But he is near his ceiling, & there’s nothing wrong with that.

He can be better conditioned than he was last year. He can become a better passer out of doubles than he did last year. He can get better with his right hand than he was last year.

Saying he’s a finished product is just a trolling comment and you know it. You don’t have to defend it. I get why you’d want to after my trolling yesterday, but you can’t shoot me straight and act like his comment was fair.

It’s not a diss that he’s close to being a finished product. Not that hard to grasp.

Hammons was out of shape and didn’t give a **** his first 3 years (his stats didn’t really change much) then finally got in amazing shape his senior year and his potential finally was realized.

Haas was pretty close to a finished product when he got to Purdue and there was nothing wrong with that.

Hell, I think Caleb Furst is close to a finished product and he’s solid for us.

No idea why you’re getting so bent out of shape.

Really tough decision. Do I watch Seton Hall @ Michigan, Chris Collins get on all fours in Evanston to beat New Orleans, or Some HS Girls JV team @ Iowa?

He said he is a finished product. Not that he’s close to a finished product.

Dickinson wasn’t in good shape last year either. I’m guessing he’s much better conditioned after a full offseason with Michigan’s trainers.

Haas went from averaging 7.6 ppg as a freshman to 14.6 ppg as a senior. That’s an odd definition of finished product. I’ll take that definition all day.

I think Seton Hall is a legit tournament team. Excited for this one.

That‘s why I said he’s not a finished product.

Thank you. We agree. I actually don’t think any college player is a finished product. 22 years old is really young on the development scale, even for players without NBA upside. Most players have their biggest jump from freshman to sophomore but it’s pretty common to see players slowly progress. I’m not saying everyone always gets better but I’d never cap anyone in college.

I’ve said he wasn’t a finished product but that he’s a great player that’s close to it. He isn’t going to start to break down people off the dribble or become a big that can really stretch the floor or harness his unrealized athleticism. Of course he can improve just like most players do with experience.

Yup I agree and that’s the logical, common sense opinion on it. You can go back and see me call out the Michigan fans who thought he should work on jumpers all offseason. There’s ways for him to improve without becoming Luka.

A reminder that we are discussing the statement that he’s a finished product.

This Purdue offense is fun to watch. But really interested to see how this team handles a pair of athletic opponents this weekend.

UNC's front court will pose some real challenges on Saturday. Would be nice to have Gillis for depth at the 4 in that one.

Moment of truth coming. Nunez has been the first guard off the bench three straight games. My hope is to never see him in a game again.

Don’t know UNCs squad in detail, but potential for Trevion and Edey to play together some?
