they also lost to penn state three times. to call them a final four team all year long, particularly at this point in season, is ridiculous. having three Big Ten teams in the final four is also fvcking stupid.
March Madness is stupid. After watching Butler make back to back championship games, 7 seed UConn play 8 seed Kentucky for the title, VCU and George Mason make final fours as double digit seeds, and South Carolina make it as a 7 seed - there may not even be a bracket stupid enough.
Gotta go contrarian in these things to win. Everyone is going to be picking the same 4-5 teams to win it all.

Good luck Big Ten brethren, even Purdue! Today is a bit like Christmas for me growing up as the son of a high school basketball coach in Indiana. I've even borrowed the tradition my dad started by calling off myself and my son from work/school for the first day of the tournament. Even though Indiana didn't make the tournament, it feels a lot better than last year. A solid foundation has been laid. It still sucks though watching my favorite event in sports without being able to cheer for the Hoosiers in my candy stripe pants.
I'm 39 and wear them by the way, in public even. Though the public part is mainly because I really I just don't GAF. No one in Seattle Eastside has any clue what they are and think they are actual candy cane pants for Christmas.

Not that you're aware of (and it's not a certainty), but there has been a lot of conversation from a couple guys that are interested if the cards fall.
He was a great scorer, but he didn't do anything else that's irreplaceable. Average rebounder, bad defender, terrible passer (less than 50 assists in his entire career of 102 games), fouled a lot. Losing him isn't a positive, but it's not a death knell yet.
