Oh, well. Always next year.

And please Miller, pass on the NIT if there's even an invite. PLEASE.
Thats typical Hoosier arrogance snd entitlement right there. U always keep playing if NIT picks u, esp if coach is just getting started. More practices and kids play more games. CBI, yeah no thanks tho.

My picks for these matchups today

MSU 74 UW 65

UM 71 Nebrasketball 69

OSU 78 PSU 71 (Mike Watkins out for Tourney, would have picked PSU otherwise)

Purdue 76 Rutgers 65

That's not a very logical thought process. Why pass on the CBI? Same reason that you just criticized him for.

Who you rooting for now that Iowa is out of the B1G tourney Gil?

Can I interest you in Purdue and HAARMS??

some final notes/stats on these players
Cook 28.0 mpg, 15.3 ppg, 6.8 rpg total 224, 20 blocks, 21 steals, 74 TO's. 56.6% from the field, 66.1% from the FTL.
Bohannon 31.8 mpg, 13.5 ppg, 5.4 apg total 178, 96 3's, 22 steals, 68 TO's. 42.7 from the field, 43% from 3 and 90.4% from the FTL.
Garza 21.7 mpg, 12.1 ppg, 6.4 rpg 211 total, 32 blocks, 35 TO's, shooting 55.7% from the field, 68.1% from the FTL, 34.8% from 3
Moss 24.2 mpg, 11.1 ppg, 62 assists, 41 TO's, 22 steals, shooting 42% from the field, 38.6% from 3 and 87.9% from the FTL
Nunge 15.7 mmg, 5.7 ppg, 91 total rebounds, 32 TO's, 21 steals, 25 blocks shooting 44.3% from the field, 33.3% from 3 and 75.5% from the FTL.

these if Cook returns equals the top 5 returning scorers, 3 SO's and 2 FR.

what I like is that Garza exceeded my expectations and will be the force at the 5 going forward,
Bohannon was healthy at the end of the season and it showed as he went from 11 steals after the 1st 26 games then ended up with 22 after 33 games giving him 11 steals in 7 games.

Moss went from 6.7 ppg to 11.1 ppg, Jok as a SO scored 7 ppg then went to 16.0 ppg in his JR season. even Marble avg'd 11.5 ppg as a SO then avg'd 15.0 ppg and led the team in scoring as a JR.

this is why I am excited about the future, getting 6'5 Connor back adding 6'6 Wieskamp and 6'4 Fredrick to the team will add depth to the 1st 3 positions but 3 very good defenders on the perimeter,

Connor and Fredrick are both PG's and will give JBo much needed relief and all 3 are very good 3 point and FT shooters.

the season is done, now I move on to college baseball, Golf and NASCAR. the only thing BB related is the last signing period and what Cook does.

I hope that Pemsl, Kriener Ellingson and Wagner transfer out and Cook stays. We have no use for any of them. If Cook leaves I guess I hope we keep Kriener. For all I care they can go to the Missouri Valley Conference making our lineup look like this plus some grad-transfers and JUCO players hopefully

PG: Bohannon/McCaffery
SG: Moss/Dailey
SF: Wieskamp/Baer
PF: Cook/Nunge
C: Garza/Cook/Nunge

Anyone interested in drafting the remaining 8 teams in the B1G tourney and doing an avatar bet?

We each get 4 teams, winner chooses the losers avatar until beginning of ncaa tournament

Because you pay to play CBI no thanks
If I remember correctly, $50k for the opening and $75k for the later rounds. That's nothing. They also get revenue from those games.

What do you think teams spend in travel costs for each away game?

Agree with this, but could see one of Moss/Dailey also playing some 3 as well. You'll probably need one more of that list of 4 men in there just for depth, and when I've watched I like Pemsl the most of him Kriener and Wagner. But I think Fran needs to (a) cut the rotation (b) keep more skill/mobility at the 3.

CBI isn’t worth it to Indiana or any B1G team

I actually think Moss will move back to the 3 as he was the 3 while Jok played the 2 and until this season Dailey was just a 3. Fran out of necessity needed him to play the 1, this just improved his versatility.

Connor will allow Bohannon more freedom to play off the ball to use his 3 point shooting. these are the players and their position possibility.
6'5 Connor the PG, SG and WG
6'6 Wieskamp the SG, WG and SF
6'0 Bohannon the PG and SG
6'7 Dailey the PG, SG and SF/WG
6'4 Fredrick the PG and SG
6'4 Ellingson the PG and SG

this will allow Fran the ability to use a 2 guard lineup, 3 guard lineup and even a 4 guard lineup to match other teams that only use a 4 guard lineup.

even 6'8 Pemsl can give Fran the small lineup, this is something that he has not been able to do.

also with Fran with this much versatility and depth can now sit someone and anyone if they don't give the 100% effort.

Not to devolve this thread into a discussion of beer, but I sat down with some women from S. Dakota while on vacation. They opened my eyes to tomato juice/ margarita mix in beer. Surprisingly tasty.

Heard this morning that had Iowa won yesterday, Bohannon would not have been able to play today. We likely would have gotten dump trucked but it would have been worth it to see Nebraska fans heads blow up in anger

That might be the most disgusting thing I've ever read in my life.

the smoke about Cook leaving was started on Power Mizzu a Rivals site. they are using the his parents live there and it is hard for them to go see their son play.

if this is true which I doubt. I am pretty sure they discussed at length before their son committed to Iowa.

when smoke is starting consider where it is coming from.
