I think it's so stupid when a program gives the retiring coach the authority to choose his successor. Obviously he's going to choose someone he has a close relationship with and not necessarily the best option. It's not like Roy built the damn program. Carolina was Carolina way before he got there.

100%, this....Its why I am sort of glad Knight got fired. I mean as bad as we have been since , well, forever----It would have been much worse had Knight been allowed to retire. Because the successor would have been none other than Pat Knight...

I am like Jimbo, I have to watch as the season goes, they have to get Grady more shots and he needs to take them. But there so many other things that needs to be cleaned up. Just to early to call a ceiling, and that's with a lot of good teams.
