A poster on our home board said this Duke team is more exciting than any team he has watched since the Fab 5.

I brought these teams up as teams I thought were more exciting....

J.J. Reddick's Duke
Dee Brown's Illinois
John Wall's Kentucky
Joakim Noah's Florida

What do you think the most exciting teams have been?

Ok definitely a NO on Noah's Florida's teams , not sure who brought excitement from them

If by exciting you mean entertaining....I'd go with this Duke team. Remind a lot of UNLV, and how they just got out an ran---athletes all over the place. Lobs from everywhere.

BTW----Noah's UF teams? Really?

When I think of exciting I think of teams like Phi Slamma Jamma, UNLV, even Loyola Marymount. Arkansas under Nolan Richardson; especially his title team in '94.

Noah, Horford, Brewer, Green. #3 offense one year, #1 offense the following year. Very good team and Noah was as animated as anyone. Fun team for sure.

I personally don't consider who has the best dunks to be the most exciting, btw. Watch J.J. Reddick drag his guy down, through, and around the lane to catch and shoot contested 3's is every bit as entertaining to me as a fast break highlight dunks.

Yeah those days were fun, but highlight dunks are more "exciting."

Not just dunks. The athletic ability...the shot blocking. Playing well above the rim. Smothering defense. I love to watch designed play as the next. Or for a guy to run his guy off 2-3 screens. THat's FUN. Exciting is Phi Slamma Jamma.

I really enjoyed watching the 1997 Arizona Wildcats. What an amazing collection of guards that team had....Simon, Bibby, Terry, Dickerson.

I think Nik Stauskas was more exciting than Glenn Robinson III and Glenn Robinson III is one of the best dunkers the Big Ten has seen in recent memory.

Agree to disagree

He should have said that Zion is the most interesting player he's seen. Because in reality, that's what he really meant.

I wish nothing but failure in all things basketball for that Wisconsin team and those players

Geeze are you kidding?

National Champions Kentucky beat Auburn at Auburn by a score of 83-58. If Auburn just blitzed teams what did Kentucky do to them.

Anyway the 1998 UK team is the "most exciting" I have ever seen. They simply refused to lose.

I meant the 98-99 team, which went 29-4. Two losses to Kentucky still though

Loyola Mmt, and UNLV of the early 90s. I always wonder how LMU would have done against UNLV if they hadn't lost Geathers. Technically they were there when the Fab 5 was playing.

Arkansas mid 90s
Duke w/ JWill, and Battier
2009 UNC

Hype-wise those teams could compete.....

Exciting though? 06-07 Florida teams were not exciting and f*** JJ Reddick and f*** Duke, so cross them off as well.

As a Duke fan, this years Duke team is far more exciting than any other Duke team for me, (with the exception on '92.) That is with a team full of brick masons this year too.

Outside of Duke teams that are/were exciting to watch, i always loved watching the Loyola Marymount teams with Hank Gathers and Bo Kimble. They played less defense than James Harden, but they loved to run and gun.

Slightly outside the time frame you were asking about but, like others, I love the Kimble Loyola Marymount team and the LJ/Augmon/Hunt UNLV team.

In a slightly lower tier I'd put:

1987 Iowa with Armstrong/Gamble/Marble
1987 UNLV with Gilliam/Banks/Padio
1988 Oklahoma with Grant/King/Blaylock
1990 Georgia Tech with Scott/Anderson
1990 Arkansas with Day/Mayberry/Big O
1993 Cal with Kidd/Murray wasn't bad either

Exciting to me doesn’t just mean who is the best dunker. Glenn Robinson III wasn’t more exciting than Nik Stauskas IMO.
