Missouri bb

I didn't. I've adamantly argued with people who did.

Wasn’t necessarily meaning you personally just meant the Illinois fan base in general.

On Ramey I don’t know why our fan base can’t just move past it. Regardless if it’s Cuonzos lack of interest, the Ramey’s lack of interest or a mixture of the two it doesn’t matter because he isn’t coming here. Yet we are all caught up on his recruitment for some reason.

Jesus, you are pretty thick. His options are drying up fast and are not the same now as they were when he first decommitted from Louisville. All the information you are citing is old, his dad has let it be known both privately and publicly that they have interest in Mizzou in now. And nothing hurts you dork, it's cbb recruiting, you seem to be taking this really hard. As I've already said his dad can be a pain in the ass and wants assurances that CM isn't going to give him. Terrell Ramey is very connected in the STL bball scene, if Courtney went to Mizzou and the situation went bad it be one more hurdle for CM to have to clear in area that he's trying to mend fences in and he doesn't feel Ramey's worth the risk at this point.
Gabe re-posted that quote Saturday. Guess that is ancient.

If you want to believe a feel good story that's made up for the public to digest, that's fine. Willful ignorance.

How am I hurt? We have a very good chance at landing a top 50 PG that turned down our rival.

I'm rock hard. I'm too modest to say I'm thick, but I appreciate it.

Agreed. Mizzou would be in a better spot if they landed him. Not sure the details matter that much, but the truth is widely known in basketball circles.

A feel good story? What are you talking about? How is Terrell Ramey saying he think it's weird that Mizzou won't pursue his son a feel good story? You are really reaching at this point. And if you are still reading our board I'm sure you know how people feel about Gabe and his sources, I'm not going to trash him but he's been wrong far more often then right lately. Believe it or not there are people on our board that actually know the Ramey's, Gabe doesn't. Someone that does know the Ramey's and who has been pretty consistent in the past in saying we didn't have a chance say they've spoken with them recently and things have changed.....except for the fact that they can't get CM to show mutual interest. Then Terrell does an interview with a Columbia newspaper and says how weird it is that CM isn't contacting them. You are completely clueless but continue on with your obsession regarding all things CM and Mizzou.

I don't read your board. I just looked at his post history and that was there. Our rivals and scout guys are plugged in that area. It's no secret.

Feel good because "at least you didn't get turned down."

Also, the narrative that Ramey approached the media is false along with the rest of it.

Nope, but you can tell yourself whatever you'd like. Ramsey's dad is telling people around him and the media differently and that's a fact. I wish I had all the posts you made back around when Tilmon flipped, still makes me laugh.

I didn't realize you guys were recruiting Okoro. You may beat us for Liddell (although I think we're leading for him, and KU is the biggest threat), but you don't have a shot in hell at taking Okoro! ;)

Looks like we have a few common recruits. Looking forward to it.

I'm interested to see what recruits Cuonzo can get to MU. This first class was a bit of luck, a lot of good timing, and CM being a good recruiter put together.
The way it is going nobody is worried about Illinois man. Underwood has looked absolutely garbage. Illinois isn't dancing anytime soon.

Man if only I could remember the title of the threads when Cuonzo and Underwood were hired. Lol there has to be some classic stuff in them

Mizzou is recruiting a bunch of nobodies, and you're losing your two best players. This is as good as you're going to be for awhile. As per Cuonzo norm, you won't see much more than the first weekend.

Illinois' roster is bad right now, but the coaching staff is superior in almost every way. I'll take the wait and see approach, and laugh at you in a few years (and every Braggin' Rights obviously).

Illinois fans are the best! I work with a couple and the insecurity of what there program has become is comedy gold.

Lol so now the roster is bad? Btw our two besst players are Freshman, one is suppossed to be a senior in HS.

This Illinois team has plenty of talent. At this point Underwood isn't a lock to make it 3 seasons. Winning 15 games isn't gonna cut it man

Missouri fans are even better because I've never met one in person.
Lol this is gold. SAF. Man I totally do not blame you after all the trash you spewed and what's happened since then. I wonder if Illinois can turn it around and make the NIT? Good luck man truly.

Honestly I never thought the worst lose on Cuonzos Mizzou record would be Illinois. Maybe we shouldn't make the tourney.

You've been the sorriest basketball program in D1 the past few years. Cuonzo fell into the luckiest situation possible. Landed that class because MPJ, and now look who he's pulling in without his best recruiting pitch. Projects. The guy never could build rosters, and you're going to drop right back off because of it. I'll be here laughing, and you'll be nowhere to be found.

Dude he did land the best player in state for 2018 that wasn't committed. He also has landed Tilmon, not even counting the porters. Do you honestly beleive Underwood is gonna out recruit Cuonzo after a sub .500 season? You guys will have a new coach in 3 years bro.

They suck just as bad in person, as they do here. Save yourself the headache, you’re not missing much.
I lived in Illinois for over thirty years....the one basketball program that they dislike more than Missouri is
the Jayhawks. It's great to see the bond you fools have created.

3 years... What's the maximum amount of time Cuonzo has spent somewhere? What have the rosters looked like after he got out ahead of the shit storms? He consistently misses on guys that are not 5-stars.

If Cuonzo continues to recruit the type of players he's landed post-MPJ, then absolutely. Very good chance Illinois lands Okoro and Liddell next season along with some adders. That's a solid haul. Illinois is in on some good talent for the remaining guys in this class. I don't know that they are all likely, but I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of those commits moves Illinois over Missouri's class this season.

Underwood is highly regarded across the league as a good to great tactical coach. His staff is putting him in position for some solid guys. He's been able to finish against competition for a some of them already.

Cuonzo is Groce-esque. lightly better, but that's all we talked about when he was thought to be a contender for our job. I think you're looking at a tenure like what Romar had at Washington. He'll have some good seasons and recruit well, but by the end of it, you'll just be glad to move onto the next guy. He'll have you looking at the peak, and then you'll flame out pre-maturely. It's who he is. It's what he's always done. Missouri misses the tournament next year.

Probably going to lose next game after this comment.

You are a big time moron

Ramey's dad has a price. Cuonzo doesn't play that way. But Illinois does. Look at the assistants there and with Underwood at other stops. Dirty.

Yet, there's nothing false in what I said. Cal's roster this season would toe to toe with Mizzou of the past few seasons. Tennessee put back to back .500 rosters or worse together. He's really good at getting out ahead of the storm.

I will thoroughly enjoy watching Liddell beast on you.

Yeah, Cuonzo is clean. Hilarious! Such naiveté.

Sure is funny you are calling Cuonzo dirty while Illinois Head Coach has an assistant caught up in the FBI scandal...

Apparently you believe going to a high school, which his sister is a principal at, that happens to be the high school Tilmon attended is more dirty than paying players under the table.... okay

Cuonzo fell into the luckiest class? You’re right, Blake Harris, CJ roberts And MPJ have contributed some really solid minutes to the team.

He took over a roster that won 8 games last season and only added 3 players. A graduate transfer that had 1 D1 offer out of high school, a freshman big man that everybody, most notably your beloved Illini fans, said was too raw to play meaningful minutes as a freshman and another freshman big man that should still be a senior in high school. But everybody wants to act like he is winning because there is soooo much talent on this roster. Cuonzo should be COY without a doubt. Without MPJ Mizzou is probably picked at best 10th in the SEC preseason, more than likely lower than that, and right now they are 4th with a good chance to finish 2nd. Mizzou has 8 players, 2 of which belong on MM teams, and no PG and he’s got them in the tourney barring an epic collapse.

He landed Jontay and Tilmon because of MPJ and the circumstances at Illinois. He hit a grad transfer that was recruited heavily. His (KR) performance has been impressive. I'm not denying that, but if you think MPJ didn't play heavily in the decision of any of those guys, you're lying to yourself.

When you lose Kassius, you are going to miss the tournament. He has carried you all season long, and barring another big hit on the transfer market (unlikely) you will take a big step back. It's the Cuonzo way. He's never made the tourney in two straight seasons, and it looks like that won't change next season.

As for MPJ, I think he's going to have Mizzou fans consistently thinking he's coming back, and you won't see it happen. I hope I'm wrong. I'd like to see you fail with no excuse.

Why would MPJ hold a press conference to say he wants to play if he gets cleared if he wasn’t going to come back and play this season?

And I’m not going to consider any season making the Tournament without the #1 player in the country a failure. As I stated earlier, take MPJ out of the picture preseason and Mizzou is projected to finish at the bottom of the SEC again. They’ve played without him the entire season and are basically a Tourney Lock.

And you continue to bash Cuonzo as if he can’t make adjustments to his coaching style which is laughable. He has always been known as a defensive minded coach that can’t do anything offensively. Well he just took a team that was a bottom 20 offense in the NCAA last year to a top 35 offense this season all while facing the Number 1 defensive SOS according to KenPom.
