Louisville vs #9 Michigan State

Hope we can compete and not have a lackluster performance down the stretch like in our past two games. Go Cards!

kiss of death^

The U6 shit is very rafters esque, not a good look.

They earned that title while having one taken away. Non uofl fans didn't anoint them as 'U6'. It's pretty much fair game to use it at every opportunity.
Nah, that's a raftards thing, not surprised you of all people would join in this thread and defend it. Shocking.

Anyways, back to talking about the game. I think State wins 84-76. We still have a lot to learn on defense, but i'm impressed with our offense thus far. This should be the toughest game we have until conference play. IU will be a challenge too, being that the game is at Assembly Hall.

Two things that concern me in this game, offensive rebounds and keeping our bigs out of foul trouble. We connect on our three point game, and move the ball better like we did for the first 32 mins against Tennessee, and we have a chance.

Cheers to a good game Sparty!

@MileHighSpartan Thoughts?

MSU seems further along on offense and defense, but can never count out the home team. I think MSU is one of the better rebounding teams thus far, so if that is a weakness for Louisville - it will probably get exploited tonight.

Louisville doesn't seem to have a lot of height - is that correct? Malik Williams at 6'11" the tallest rotation player, but everyone 1-4 seems to be 6'6" or smaller.

If Ward plays smart tonight, he could cause issues for your bigs. He is great at drawing fouls, as long as they get called. If a few don't get called, he can get frazzles and start making dumb plays. He's been a lot better passing out of the post once a double team comes, but still has brain farts.

How are the Louisville guards? Quick twitch, drive to the hoop type players? Doesn't seem like anyone is a standout threat from 3 so far this season. Team as whole has made 39 3's, compared to 19 each for Cassius Winston and Josh Langford (who are both shooting over 45% so far this season).

Steven Enoch is 6'11 he's starting center, and Malik is back up at 6'11. Agau is the trashcan man on the boards, he's 6'8 or 6'9 then Nwora is 6'8. But really not a whole lot of post presence on our part. Our guards are decent, we have a couple of quick grad transfers who are pass first pgs, Darius Perry is athletic and good but makes questionable decisions when it's crunch time. Our strength is on the wings, but we have to be moving the ball around and knocking down shots.

I like your guards a lot, I expect some tough physical play, but nothing like Pitino era, we're more offensive oriented than past Cardinals teams. Which is good and bad. Cheers to a good game with no injuries my dude!

...yeah, ok, Water isn't wet either, I guess.

Blame the FBI for the U6 thing. You're stuck with it.
How about providing something substantial to conversation instead of recycling raftard quips. Kys.

^ Irony being that this is a thread about a cbb game, yet you guys aren't talking about surface level cbb talk, just sad quips about irrelevant topics. Yikes.

No Mcquaid today due to leg bruising and possible blood clot issues.

Gonna be a tight game. He’s our best defender, and a damn good shooter. His backup is very unproven. And so are the rest of our wing depth. He’s also our backup PG so now we have an issue there as well.

You guys have 13 scholarship players right ?
UofL has 10.

Yall still have the advantage.
Heres to a good game.

Go Cards !
Whose fault is that? Louisville is lucky the NCAA allows them to play basketball after providing prostitutes to 16 year old recruits and paying players while on probation.

12 scholarship players. 1 of which is a walkon promoted to scholarship.

Not a big difference.

Spartans by 90! Kidding, I think it will be a close one. I'll say MSU by 7. At least I hope. My parlay tonight is MSU -5, VT -2, Nevada -5, and NKU -4.
