Yup, and he really doesnt do much when he does play except hustle plays/rebounds. We have no one that can create their own shot consistently smh. Dre davis the kid starting over williamson is a good glue guy but hes nothing special.
Just goes to show how big the gap is in the top 5-10 kids any given year and the other five stars ranked 11-25 might as well be ranked 50th its such a crap shoot at that point.

Man pitino loss some early season headscratchers every otherbyear or so. Idk guess thos games were in december idk. Its been a long time but i feel like we lost to west carolina and maybe marshall and maybe even st louis when Pitino was coaching. We havent been great rhe lst few years but until last night had been able to dodge the early upsets to the mid majors the last few years.
And to what borden said, furmans picked to finish second in their conf this year and vegas had the spread at -9 at tip off, so not like it was some historic upset. Still sucks dont get me wrong.
I mean we had a spot, we just brought in like 4 transfers at guard so i get why he ultimately chose KU, but i agree i think hes gonna be a stud. Not sure he will reach that status this season with yalls bc depth but still he shoukd be very good the next few years. We Ended up giving his scholly to mason faulkner (another grad transfer smh) after the pettiford for curry trade was complete.
Plus we needed a big, so thanks for curry, with williams foot being injured last two seasons we wouldnt have a big if he got hurt, like last year. Curry is raw but has a goot motor, nice bulk, and pretty quick on his feet. He will likely never be an all conference type player but still a valuable piece in position at need.
Plus lets be honest, with the state of our program and the ncaa nonsense, pettiford took a step up anyways, so again def cant blame the kid. Same for hopkins. Just sucks kids who were in middle school when the first scandal happened are gonna be the ones paying the price smdh. Ought fine the athletic dept 50 mil and let the kids play.
