I knew it was possible but really didn’t see Iowa getting beat today.
I had Richmond in sweet 16, defeating both Iowa and Providence. Last time Richmond was a 12 seed in KU's region, they made it to the sweet 16 before losing to Kansas.

They are not though. That was comparable to losing to Northwestern or Nebraska. That's how bad Richmond is and that's how bad that loss was.
Iowa sucked as5 the whole game and was within striking distance the whole game. Richmond is a bad team, don't fool yourself.

BS..Richmond won the game in the paint. Iowa has some talent but is very limited with the coaching they have. FM is not a good enough coach to put multiple wins together in sn NCAA tournament. You have to play defense consistently to advance anywhere in the dance, and FM is not capable.

I agree that SDSU would have beat them. NCAA tournament is a different animal and defense wins. There is a reason FM has never sniffed the 2nd weekend and may only have won one opening round game. That 4 game run in the BTT doesn’t look so stellar now when the team doesn’t have any legs left for the dance.
4 wins in 4 days in the BTT says otherwise. They were sluggish with no legs left for the dance
Jokes aside, the worse part for Iowa is that Fran McCaffery is 62 years old already. If he hasnt figured out how to win games in March before he hit 60, its questionable whether he will ever get it.

Btw, congrats on the win tomorrow.
In the 13 years, that Iowa/ISU have made the tournament in the same year, one of us has won at least one game in the tournament.
Therefore, by process of elimination........congrats on the win tomorrow...................amirite?
