Knox's dad has been non-committal to NBA since UK lost. Would've thought he was a lock to go a month ago. If he's not a lottery pick, it's believable. Am I crazy to actually believe he will come back?
Most likely gone, but not out of the question that he returns. For one, he's young. Many players in the 2018 class are older than him. Even Hagans (2019) is older. He seems to genuinely enjoy being in Lexington and he is one of the few surefire 1st rounders that Calipari has actually advised to return to school. We will know by Friday. He has already said there will be no testing the waters; he's either entering the draft and hiring an agent or he's coming back to school. He gone. No sense in getting your hopes up.
We might actually have to take you seriously on this one, you are a DePaul fan and know exactly what horrible basketball looks like.He should come back and try and become a better basketball player cause I personally think he sucks.
If you were referring to Diallo, I would agree. He should come back and try and become a better basketball player cause I personally think he sucks.
If he wanted to stay in school for 2 years he would have gone to UNC not Kentucky, he gone. Most likely gone, but not out of the question that he returns. For one, he's young. No, if he wanted to stay in school for 4 years he would've gone to UNC.If he wanted to stay in school for 2 years he would have gone to UNC not Kentucky, he gone.

Uncertainties like what? In all seriousness, how often do career ending or even career altering injures even occur that will majorly impact a kid's potential NBA career? It's rare. Very rare. Next year's draft appears like it will be much weaker than next year's, too. A bump up in draft position by only 4 or 5 spots could mean an extra $5 million over the course of a rookie contract. Also, gives a very young player more time to mature physically, mentally, and work on glaring deficiencies (defense) before the big show. There was a big but at the end of that article...his "dream to play in the NBA" I dont know how you can pass that up when it's right there for the grabbing now and there's so many uncertainties that could happen to potentially prevent that if you were to return. If I'm a first rounder, let alone lottery pick, I'm gone.

Yes, I would say that's the case 97% of the time.Kids flirting with coming back, never come back. Or, so it seems. Let's hope that's the case here.
Thanks for letting us know what you would do. We were wondering. There was a big but at the end of that article...his "dream to play in the NBA" I dont know how you can pass that up when it's right there for the grabbing now and there's so many uncertainties that could happen to potentially prevent that if you were to return. Well of course there is always a chance. Again, a very, very slim chance. You just have to ask yourself if that chance is worth it, just as Knox and his father have discussed. There is a very slim chance to suffer a career-ending injury. There is a much larger chance to secure a much bigger payday. They aren't hasty decision-makers. You can be sure they are going to weigh their options before they decide anything.Just because it's rare doesn't mean there isn't a chance. There's always a chance. If I'm the parent, I'm not letting my kid miss out on the opportunity to get paid now than take the chance of ending my career with 0 compensation. I also don't understand why some are arguing this for Knox, while others are saying SGA should go now instead of potentially hurting his chances by staying another year.
Both kids are in the same scenario yet two different opinions.
That is not true. His dad played one season (and never saw the field) in the NFL as a 6th round pick. He then played two more years between NFL Europe and the CFL before retiring. Knox Sr. works for the city of Tampa and mom is a teacher. They are just like most middle class families. Not wealthy by any means , but not living in a cardboard box either. Thanks for letting us know what you would do. We were wondering.
Also, his family has money (his dad played in the nfl) so his case isn’t typical.
My understanding is that Izzo advised Bridges to go pro, and he was pretty adamant about it.Cal trying to pull an Izzo

I thought Cal tears up scholarships for kids that should go to the NBA, why would anyone feel good about Knox coming back if he is a first round pick? Also he wanted to play shooting guard, he got that opportunity this year but will he next year? I'm not super familiar with what UK has coming in.My understanding is that Izzo advised Bridges to go pro, and he was pretty adamant about it.

Read the article linked in this thread about the interview with Knox's dad. Explains most of that.I thought Cal tears up scholarships for kids that should go to the NBA, why would anyone feel good about Knox coming back if he is a first round pick? Nice shit post. We were really intrigued what your diarrhea thoughts were on the matter..Thanks for letting us know what you would do. We were wondering.

Thanks for joining in and being the poster that you always are. Oh so you're saying he's going to run back to his parents for money for the rest of his life and he never wants to make his own money? Sounds like you.
That’s cute of you to come to his defense.Nice shit post. We were really intrigued what your diarrhea thoughts were on the matter..
Just pointing out ******ation when I see it.That’s cute of you to come to his defense.
But why would he want to go there and play for free?Knox should have just come to FSU. Go farther in the NCAAT. Play closer to home. Keep up the family tradition. Be showcased more for the NBA.
But why would he want to go there and play for free?
Probably so. Part of being a fan is getting a little carried away and having false hope sometimes. So let us have hope for the next two days, then pile it onUK fans setting themselves up for disappointment. I’ve heard he’s gone & will announce Friday.
Doubt anyone would be that disappointed. We have expected him to be OAD from the beginning. If he comes back, bonus. If not, oh well. SGA on the other hand... wasn't expecting him to be OAD at the start of the season, but he gone.UK fans setting themselves up for disappointment. I’ve heard he’s gone & will announce Friday.
I’m not piling on. I love college basketball, I’d love for him to stick around.Probably so. Part of being a fan is getting a little carried away and having false hope sometimes. So let us have hope for the next two days, then pile it on
