I was hating hard on O earlier, esp after the 28 rebound game where the uk players were giving him the russel westbrook treatment and clearing out not even going for the board so he could get it………however hes not just dennis rodman, 4 pts and 20 boards. He fills up the stat sheet from ast to steals to blocks, has scored 25+ A few times.

Mehhh not really, it political like most things. Hell trae young didnt win it when he lead the nation in scoring and assists. Brunson won it, and while brunson was a stud, he doesnt match up with what trae did, he just happened to play on the best team in the nation. If O had the exact same stts and uk was 9-whatever like last year no one would be giving him the award.

Because the voters don’t tune into more than 5 games a year for most of these players.

Oscar is averaging 17.3 points and 15.3 boards (also leads a top 10 team in FG%, blocks, and steals). Does it really matter what anyone else is doing? Oscar is doing something that hasn't been accomplished by ANYONE in almost 50 years, especially not Kofi Cockburn.
