That’s a cool chart indeed. Thanks.

Would have loved to see this back in the 2018/2019 seasons when Hamilton was legit playing 12 guys a game who all seemed to make impact plays.

It can tell you that certain teams have a huge drop-off in production, when comparing the best and 7th best players, such as Purdue and Houston. Obviously a big difference between Zach Edey and Ethan Morton (or Kaufman-Renn). The same for Houston, UConn, Gonzaga, Kentucky, and a few others. So, if these teams have issues with foul-trouble or injuries, their production on the court is likely going to suffer.

Whereas teams like Tennessee, BYU, Florida, and Oklahoma won't see a major drop-off if one of their most productive players is out - and they have rely on the 6th or 7th best player. Having a quality bench can be crucial for postseason success.

Arizona has the best 7th man in the country according to this metric. So, if a game goes to overtime, they are perfectly suited to absorb a few DQs and not compromise production on the court.

I love not having to be smart . . . but then again knowing who is is a form of deep understanding.
