I am obsessed, butthurt, triggered, rustled, rent free and live in my mom's basement.

In Phoenix. You're probably the only one who could make it to the mixer, being a few hours away. But seriously, people should come out for Spring Training or the Phoenix Open. Great time of the year to be here.

I used to be a CPA, but I left that a few years ago to get into real estate.
The real estate biz must be booming! Definitely, I wasn't able to get down there this year for spring training but for sure plan on it next year since my Reds just joined the Cactus League a few years back. They have a weekend series against the D-backs this year in mid September, so I may try and come down for that.

We should have a group therapy meeting to talk about it and share our struggles.

We should all share what bothers us most about someone here.

@LetsGoDuke301 absolutely sucks at posting pictures. He builds it up and then a red X. He should work on that.
I don't know what the hell is going on. For some reason, if you quote the post, the picture shows up. Sounds like Rivals has something to work on.

I’ll be in Vegas in early September if you’ll be around and want to grab a beer. I don’t know the exact dates yet though. I think it’ll be the 5th through the 8th. The only thing I’m committed to is a Bill Burr show at this point.

I have a man crush on Bill Burr. Man's man.

We're going this weekend to Memphis in May. Mainly because I want to see Texan Gary Clark Jr.

Plus there's a hell of a BBQ competition going on.

and BBQ sauce wrestling.

Since it's my line of work and we are getting into home improvement photos. Wife and I just listed our house we built couple years ago in downtown Raleigh on Wednesday afternoon. Doesn't have the yard like in those pictures with the pool. But great house for entertaining and we had some really fun parties there. Plus a 5 minute walk to bars and food spots. If anybody looking to move to the Triangle and wants to build or renovate a house? You know where to find me.

Ugh. Tarheel blue. Winking

Damn, how big are they? We had a big oak taken down a few months ago and it was only $1500. It had gotten infested with ants bad though and hung over the deck and house so had to go.
I don't have a picture of the bigger one on my phone. But here is one of them.

The other one is leaning towards the house after the storm and has fractures on it. It has branches that would be pretty big trees themselves. The price is for more than just taking those trees though. They are also doing 3 other stumps from trees that had fallen or been cut down before. And they are going to trim and clean up 3 oak trees.

I'm bored, and waiting and a part time magician.

I saved the pics and uploaded them to another hosting site, my redx above was me attempting o post them from your photobucket.....which you should make private fwiw.

Maybe you have a red x instead of the old image that says your hosting limit is up? Just making guess. Your first images worked.
How do you make it private? What info does it give?

It still blows my mind that Midland, TX is 700 miles away from Phoenix. That’s like driving from Dallas to Nebraska.

I have thought about going to spring training out there but I think I’ve just gotten too old to make that kind of commitment. A week long booze trip with friends sounds great and all but I’ll be 40 next month. My body wouldn’t be able to handle it.

Agreed on the weeklong booze trip, my body starts fighting back after a couple days. But you could do a three day weekend. I think those are more common than weeklong trips. Usually the weeklong ones are families.

Agree, but even still, I hear about long vacations, and it drives my wife nuts, but I start wanting to get back after 3-4 days. I'd don't think I can do two weeks

Not sure what this has to do with the thread, but just talking about conversations at home.

To make up for it, she's going with her family in June, I'm staying back.

It is. We spent the first couple years doing flips and new construction, which was good money, but not much more than our prior salaries. The freedom was great, though. A little over a year ago we switched to commercial real estate, and that's when it really took off for us.

September won't be as nice. It'll rain at least half of the days you're here, since it's in the middle of our monsoon season. I would check weather reports and make a last minute decision.

2 weeks? I'm not even sure I could I do that 10 years ago.

I'm 43. I'm very selective on where I go on vacation. I'm not sure how it comes off, but I'd rather work than visit some places.

Visiting seems to be key, with a touch of indulgence.

Awesome job on the house. How long did the project take?

And that's a serious increase in property taxes last year. Nearly double. Does your county chase the sales price?

You're alienating two fanbases with the exterior color. A neutral color would yield more offers.

It was an old run down house we demolished. From closing on the old house thru demo permit and demo , to building permits , then to build it took about 9-10 months.

In terms of property taxes , previous existing home was a 1000 sqft POS built in 20's. House was a rental somehow with a family renting from previous owners. Mold on walls , big magnolia tree growing into the roof , one of the rooms had no electricity. So from that to now is the biggest reason it jumped up. The city changed the tax rate about 2 years ago and it got hiked up as well. But to counteract that some they have been low with their value assessed on the property.

Got our first offer at 9am this morning and have another one supposedly coming this afternoon. Has only been live for 48 hours. We are at the fringe of an old historical neighborhood , so wanted to do something that fit in better with the old houses. Houses in historic Oakwood can be anywhere from 1868-1948 when they were built. Lot of Queen Anne , Victorian , 4 Square , and Second Empire style architecture.

Yep, our monsoon season is the same, although we already surpassed the annual average precipitation in the first four months of the year.
