I am obsessed, butthurt, triggered, rustled, rent free and live in my mom's basement.

How’s your house looking, OP? It’s been awhile since you posted an update.
We've been back in since March. Still have to do some trim work and final paint. Got some outside stuff to do, like siding on the addition and the soffits need to be replaced. But much better than living in a camper. We are fortunate. There are still hundreds of families displaced just in our county. But it is slowly getting back to normal.

Here are a couple of before and afters. All of the ceilings had to be replaced, some walls. The first 18 inches of all the walls and a few spots of the subflooring. I did a lot of that myself.

Check out the hideous floor that was underneath the floors I pulled up.

This is what I have been doing a little bit at a time. I don't have the before pictures, but there were 7 trees that were down and landed on my property. It has been a bitch, but I am getting there.

And you can see the trees that are there are all leaning. Probably get me a new garage one day via insurance. Haha.

About to go into some debt. We have two monster trees that are getting taken down this month. One is an imminent problem, the other may be. Either one would destroy the house, so $4,500 we go.

Your mom has a lovely house.

Your mother must be a fan of open concepts.

Will take some day pics of the Japanese Maple tomorrow. It is missing two big branches, but still looks good. I put some solar LED lights on it last week.

Daaaaaaaang!! Where do you live and when is the Rivals wine mixer? Also, WTF do you do for a living because I am obviously in the wrong line of work!

In Phoenix. You're probably the only one who could make it to the mixer, being a few hours away. But seriously, people should come out for Spring Training or the Phoenix Open. Great time of the year to be here.

I used to be a CPA, but I left that a few years ago to get into real estate.

Damn, how big are they? We had a big oak taken down a few months ago and it was only $1500. It had gotten infested with ants bad though and hung over the deck and house so had to go.

We have several Japanese Maples, two that are smaller and apparently worth quite a bit and then one bigger one. There are apparently different types or something. That is all my wife's area. They do look pretty cool. I am not allowed to weed eat close to them, lol.

It still blows my mind that Midland, TX is 700 miles away from Phoenix. That’s like driving from Dallas to Nebraska.

I have thought about going to spring training out there but I think I’ve just gotten too old to make that kind of commitment. A week long booze trip with friends sounds great and all but I’ll be 40 next month. My body wouldn’t be able to handle it.

We really need to fire up wood you Wednesdays again, this place is dying for a good thread besides the one with the fake wife
