How much is duke punished w/o Zion?

A better question is, how much is Carolina rewarded for going 16-2 & co winning the toughest conference in CBB.

It was a joke. You know how many times I heard that phrase the last couple of years with UVA deep dicking the ACC in the regular season? Congrats on the co-championship. The 2 seed in the ACCT is a very good accomplishment

No idea what they will do with Duke. Beyond RJ we’ve looked a good bit weaker than we did earlier this year, but who knows how much of that is Zion related. I’d assume, given the results WITH Zion, that it’s a fair bit, but I do think post season success will depend largely on whether or not Cam and Tre and some of the bench can step up a bit.

Duke doesn’t have a bench or is it K refusing to develop one? The shooting is terrible and they’re not good on the glass.

No idea... maybe a bit of both? I’m fine with the rebounding given zion being out and Bolden going down,but the shooting is bad. It will definitely hurt this team in the end.
UNC definitely benefitted from an easy road conference slate, but still played the toughest overall schedule of any of the 1 seed contenders, according to the metrics. So whatever.
To answer the OP, think it depends whether he comes back for the ACCT and how they look. If he does and they roll, they won’t get punished at all. If he struggles and they lose or doesn’t play at all, it’s a different story.

ACCT assuming Zion plays will determine if they are seeded above or under UNC IMO. The committee has routinely ignored games where players like Zion do not play, and do not expect this to be any different. If Zion doesn’t play the ACCT and his NCAAT availability is up in the air... then Duke could drop a few seed lines for sure.

In all seriousness, OP has a point. If you're going to dismiss Duke losses wo Zion, you can't put so much emphasis on UNC's wins over a Zionless team. It can't be both ways.

I’m really bothered that UNC gets rewarded for beating a hobbled duke but duke doesn’t get punished for losing. I’m happy with either one but not both.
