The Inflation Reduction act showed results, but they were the wrong results and reflect more of a central control socialist system which historically have always resulted in malaise.

I think it would be hard to argue that the inflation reduction act did much to curb inflation. I think in certain very specific cases it theoretically could, but not overall inflation. Inflation has largely been reduced by the Fed and their interest rate policies. We flushed the economy with so much liquidity over the last two administrations that the Fed had to act to suck some of it back out with contractionary monetary policy. My personal opinion is that the liquidity issue was caused by both, but the tipping point was the last Covid relief package, which at the time seemed fairly unnecessary given where the economy already was.
