Fanstake: thread for non Kentucky fans

So most of you know that your fans can donate money on fanstake to recruits, if the kid chooses your school of choice then you pay the donation.

Well KSR (Kentucky sports radio) did a promotion to try to get 5* Ament to consider them over Louisville and Duke. They would donate the money but you had to give your name and phone number only. The promo was for $25 per person that KSR would pay. Well a Louisville fan got a hold of the promo code and the Louisville fans flooded it and put Louisville as the school it chose for the money to go with. They (KSR) didn’t realize that you chose the school when you used the promo code, it didn’t automatically credit Kentucky.

Instead of Kentucky gaining on Louisville in donations, Louisville took a much larger lead 😂

I don’t even know if fanstake makes a difference in recruiting with the amount of NIL some are making, but it is funny as hell what happened.

Btw: they capped it off after seeing what was happening

Yeah I knew it wasn’t actually their money, but their sponsor didn’t even bother to check how it worked.

It was a great move by Louisville fans though. Kinda disappointed in the BBN the past several years. They aren't nearly as dedicated and organized as Louisville is now on things like that.

It’s pretty much chump change compared to what this kid is going to be offered NIL wise. Glad we made his final list but I think he’s been Duke or Louisville bound for a while. Probably Duke.

You only pay of he commits to your school though right? Or I thought that was how it worked. Maybe not.

I think that's right but I'm not 100% positive either.
